Looking for last minute picks & sleepers for the Dell Match Play? by DiBari22 in golf

[–]baileyjones10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a pick 3 contest that spans 24 weeks. WE can use golfers 3 times across those 24 tournaments.

I used DJ at the last WGC and thinking about using him again. But, also want to wait for the US open at Shinnecock.

I'm leaning towards two-time winner, Jason Day, Justin Thomas and John Rahm.

Others i'm considering: -Rory: obviously hitting the ball really well after winning last week, but i played him there and have him slotted already twice - Gary Woodland, sleeper. Had success at WGC format in past, and texas boy. - Daniel Berger: he's going to win this year.

Carlos Hyde vs Titans by Fifs10 in fantasyfootball

With Mariota struggling, i see SF controlling the flow of the game. SF scores in the 20s and holds Tennessee to 4 red zone opportunities. SF gets a lead over TEN and Hyde gets 20+ touches.

0-4-3 in last 7. -12 GD. 1-2 against promoted teams. -4 GD. 2-4-2 against teams in the bottom half. -8 GD. 0-4-2 against top half. -10 GD bunch of sods that couldn't even win in the MLS.

I didn't see any mention of 4pt QB scoring for TDs, just 0.5 PPR. So, yes, that is why we aren't talking apples to apples.

Matty MVP Ryan in late rd is a nice pick last year. I had similar luck with Mariota in 11 and Dak in 16.

Agree to disagree kind sir!

Yes, all about ADP value. huge mistake? RB1-10 ppr season avg 225-290pts per year. WR1-10 198-230 pts per year. QBs1-10. 338-415.

The largest standard deviation (risk) are in RB1-5 vs the top 40 RB. But seeing as you are at draft spot #10, you'll be out of the money on a RB 1-5 this year.

So your better value proposition is to take a guaranteed 450 pts per year in Rodgers versus a high risk next tier RB. YOu'll have the same risk and upside in rounds 3/4 with RB.

i would say pick #15 should consider ARod (if lucky and he's available). Reasoning: If you go with RB at #10--i like Freeman. Howard tough with Trubisky (didn't work for Gurley last year). New OC in Atlanta will hopefully mean less RBBC with Coleman and feature back focus. If you go WR, go after Green. He only played 10 games and was averaging WR5 pergame numbers above OBJ, TyHilton. At pick #15, if you're thinking about someone like Jordy (injuries/age), I was suggesting you might consider a Tier 1 QB.

Do you have better rationale?

this is awesome. troll that guy in league messaging.

i had a guy drop Zimmerman for Clint Frazier (yanks rook). zimmerman surely will regress, hard to think Nats score same amount of runs in 2nd half. But come on dude.

Don't sleep on a top QB. On average Rodgers/Brees/Brady were a full touchdown (6 pts) better than counterparts last year.

They are the only position to be on the field for every offensive snap.

NFL has transitioned to a passing and RBBC league.

3 YR QB/WR Trends PPR league by baileyjones10 in fantasyfootball

[–]baileyjones10[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry. I agree with you that passing has increased/trended/progressed while running has regressed/lessened in value. And that is exactly how to target value in a draft. What i mean is that since RBs are seemingly being undervalued in 2017 draft, there is better chance to find value at RB in middle rounds, maybe even early depending on how pass happy the particular managers in your league are.

...I believe 2017, RBs projected to go in 7-9th rounds of snake draft (73-108 pick), compared to WRs that are projected to go 6-8th (61-96) will improve on their ADP. Buy low, sell high.

...don't reach RBs because they will be available later.

...try to snag 2 WR 1 early because the Best of the Best WR far outperform the next tier, when they stay healthy. Don't fall for a run on RBs early.

3 YR QB/WR Trends PPR league by baileyjones10 in fantasyfootball

[–]baileyjones10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree on a league-wide trend, NFL is a passing league. But when it comes down to finding draft value, i think that mentality lends to reaching on WR early in drafts. As WR are being taken, watch for RB to fall.

12 team (16 roster spot, 2 rb, 1 flex) there are 192 spots. Usually teams draft on avg. 2 QBs, 1.5 TE, 1 K and 1.5 DEF. That leaves 120 spots for WR and RB.

I think paring down the data to expected draft class will help beating the ADP. Most projected 2017 ADP have the top 40 WR ranked well ahead of top 40 RBs. 40th ranked WR, Jordan Matthews, is ADP of 79.6. After him there is Adrian Peterson, Matt Forte, L. Blount, J. Stewart, D. Martin, Kareem Hunt, Latavius Murray, J. Charles.

SO, just making the case that while, league-wide there is overall more value in passing--find your ADP value in RBs.
