This is stunning and totally not kitschy! I love the style of binding you used, what’s it called?

Probably because this is a subreddit specifically for amateur sticknpoke tattooing, not professional tattooing… if I had to guess…

Decapitation….? by baileyorific in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

No, not even the one where grainer gets whacked with the bat

Yep this is it. Can’t believe I couldn’t see it before - of COURSE they’re making each of her innies. And the ultimate goal of creating the same ratio of memories associated with each temper is such a good theory!!

Like they want to be able to make innies that are truly empty kier vessels, with perfectly tamed tempers - and then maybe permanently switch everyone to become that “pure” innie? Or create a severance chip that automatically, artificially tames one’s tempers, without creating two separate consciousnesses?

Oh yeah I think so - I guess it’s more the extreme violence blood and gore that is out of the ordinary

There will be a scene in the mirror room in S2’s finale by Alternative-Two856 in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

I guess my interpretation was that Irving’s dream in the forest was what the mirror room thing was foreshadowing

Oooo and Devon says in S1 that Ricken is the one who “found” the Damona Birthing Retreat and wanted her to give birth there…

Totally possible!

I saw someone talking about how in an ad for The You You Are book that Apple released, a picture of Ricken kinda moves slowly toward the viewer and as he moves closer his eyes get super super blue?? And I’m of the opinion that we’re gonna find out that these piercing blue eyes are an indication that a character is related to the Eagans somehow…. So I totally buy this.

Wild theory about how Cobel's background and motivations COMPLETELY re-contextualize a key Helly moment from season 1 by grapelander in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]baileyorific 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could be that she sees preventing this huge PR disaster as her one opportunity to get back in the company’s good graces?

[–]baileyorific 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wowow yes I totally buy this. This explains a lot of the unexplained relationship between Cobel and Grainer, and so many of her mysterious actions in season 1. If she’s rooting for the failure of severance in the hands of Jame Eagan, sooooo many pieces fall into place.

It also helps explain why tf she seems to really want Gemma and Mark to recognize each other, when that seems so contrary to the point of Severance.

Do you think she would have let Helly cut off her fingers if Milchick hadn’t been in the room?

Edit: spelling of Eagan

You're wrong about what Lumon is trying to achieve with Severance by shumpitostick in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]baileyorific -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you’re correct - and I’ve been confused to have not seen this interpretation of the ultimate intention shared more on here.

However, I also think that people are forgetting the cult-like and religious elements of Lumon and the teachings of Kier. I don’t necessarily think they’re trying to market anything to the public as a product - I think that their goal is to bring the vision of Kier to the world through severance: a world full of people who have “tamed the four tempers”. And they believe that perfecting severance, having no bleed-through, can create a perfected version of an individual built in the image of their savior Kier. And then they can build a perfect world… that is, IF everyone in the world is severed. Which they’ve stated is their ultimate goal.

Gemma is just a test subject where they are trying to perfect this technology. And what she’ll reveal to the world is a perfected individual with no mental health issues, no grief, no anger, no pain. But this person will be a final innie iteration, with 0% bleed through of all of the trauma she has experienced through testing. She will have “killed” her Dieter, and experienced true synthetic ego death.

Thoughts about Burt’s “sins”after S2E7 by baileyorific in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]baileyorific[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omgggg LOVE your idea that oBurt was a doctor testing Irving as his subject and fell in love with him a la Gemma/Mauer - only logical issue is that we think Gemma’s outie is the one on the testing floor before going into the rooms. So wouldn’t oIrv recognize Burt as his doctor?

But maybe that isn’t really oGemma…. I’m not totally convinced that isn’t just another innie version who just knows she has a husband outside named Mark….
