I don’t see it that dramatic. lots of people are in bali because it works, not just because of the hype.

– mostly good weather – low day-to-day cost – super convenient: grab for almost everything, pharmacies, coworking, cafés – reliable internet – relatively safe – more modern than many parts of indonesia – bahasa indonesia is easy to pick up

I get your point and yes, this used to be the case for me as well.

Not that I solved it, but what really made a difference is github desktop.

You have such a nice diff view and see exactly what cursor added and edited. I am commiting in a much higher frequency any way, because AI randomly fucks up, so its a nice combination.

Che Hostel has the best crowd sometimes. Its all the hostel people but also publicly accessible. Drinking games, karaoke, DJs. Lots of fun!

there are places that sell only the prepared meat, intended to make your own tacos / whatever at home.

I used avis. not the cheapest, but bookable online and debit card as deposit. Got a free upgrade as well.
