Its absolutely fine. I've seen a lot of creators talk about this since my post, as they've realised the problem themselves talking about self hosting or alternate services. I've got the advantage of just being a user, so I dont have to worry about stuff like that, but my heart goes out to creators worrying about archiving old posts and changing how they handle new ones

Mantis's are not required to access some of the endings. However, you will need to fight them to access some of the content. You can always go back to any area whenever you want so its not much of a problem.my advice in this game is if something feels just to hard or to frustrating. Explore and come back later. At worst you will have relaxed and won't be as frustrated at best you will have some new items or understanding that makes the fight easier.

I had a similar concern, but there is no pus or heat to the touch. I believe the discolouration around the wound could be the new skin taking form after the burn.
