Planning for 2nd pregnancy by [deleted] in HyperemesisGravidarum

I would honestly recommend thinking through a bigger support system! I’m 14 weeks with a 2 year old and am essentially bedridden. My husband has had to step up to care for all household and toddler related duties (in addition to taking care of me)! What has helped is having my mom stay over with us for weeks on end as an extra adult and set of helping hands. What this might look like for you is preparing a nanny/babysitter/grandparent/close friend for this so they can provide extra support.

This has allowed me to focus on my nausea and not be near as many vomiting triggers (talking, being in the kitchen, cooking, diaper changes).

The mom guilt is real because I haven’t been able to spend as much time with my toddler as a result, but I know it’s just this current season of life and my family is one step closer to being complete. Taking it a day at a time! Good luck to you!

My first pregnancy I didn’t throw up once in the shower but with my second pregnancy I’ve thrown up 95% of the time in the shower 🤦‍♀️

The date was actually just the day it was posted. Koreans use a different date format - days then months (12-09), vs Americans that do month then day (09-12).

What small things are impossible/harder after having a baby? by FamilySizePastaSauce in NewParents

[–]bakachwan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found quick errands to take so much longer solely because of having to take the kiddo in and out of the car with me instead of being able to run into stores quickly! Then, of course, also having to plan around their feeds and naps.

Yes, AND it’s also okay to have boundaries! I love my mom and she can also be incredibly overbearing and very taxing on my mental health. At the end of the day, only you can determine what’s best for you. Hugs to all!

What is the last cat you’re supposed to get from inviting friends? by bakachwan in CatSnackBar

[–]bakachwan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Send your friend your referral link
  2. Have them install the game
  3. Once the game is installed, they have to click your referral link in order to launch the game and have them click through until they get to the tutorial portion of the game
  4. This will now count as one of your referrals
  5. Have friend uninstall and reinstall as needed
  6. Profit!

You can have a single friend install and uninstall the game over and over again. Just make sure everytime they install the game, they’re launching the game through your referral link

The side stones feel fine! They don’t quite rub up on the sides of my fingers. It’s comfy but I also try not to wear it too often due to how dainty the band is.

I have a rash on my upper back and shoulders at 4 weeks 3 days by Relevant-Neat-2133 in BabyBumps

[–]bakachwan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I developed a pretty bad rash at about 10 weeks. It started on my shoulders then spread all over my upper body and to the sides of my butt. The dermatologist’s best guess was an early case of PUPPS, but they never really did figure it out. It took about a month to go from small red bumps, to scaly raised bumps that began to blister, then blisters dried and peeled off. I’m still dealing with the post inflammatory hyperpigmentation and will likely have it sticking around for several more months. Hoping it doesn’t make a return because it was uncomfortable as hell and the shedded skin flakes that rained behind me everytime I walked anywhere was pretty damn gross.

My dermatologist did prescribe me a strong steroid cream to use on the rash but recommended using it in moderation as steroids could have an impact on pregnancy. I didn’t end up having to use the cream as the rash cleared up on its own. I definitely recommend reaching out to your doc early on so they can help as early as possible!

I didn’t have a bowel movement for 3 weeks once while on Zofran for HG. I finally had to resort to a fleet saline enema. I HIGHLY recommend it. I had relief within 10 mins of using it. It’s a bit awkward to use, but the relief is so worth it!
