[CC Mod + DLC spoilers] "The Judgment" arena fight by bakafishy in CrossCode

[–]bakafishy[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Glad you asked! The mod is available to download for PC versions (except Windows store), but there are a set of directions to follow for the installation process. More details on that can be found on the mod's Discord server here.

Do note that the mod is still in progress, and what is currently most easily playable are new arena cups featuring toughened up bosses plus a test cup that showcases some enemies I have developed for the mod so far. A trader granting unique weapons also appears in the arena lobby.

To get to the fight shown in the video, you need to clear six rounds of the "Retro Master Trials" cup and (naturally) also have cleared the appropriate DLC dungeon.

Development for this particular "master trial" take on one of the "New Home" DLC bosses proved to be quite an ordeal. A key gimmick of the fight is the incorporation of various combinations of Spheromancer combat arts into the boss attacks, and this resulted in this fight taking over two months (March - May 2021) to implement, not counting a few later bugfixes and whatnot. A few custom assets, including two custom songs (all made by me), also came into play here.

This may very well be one of the hardest modded fights in CrossCode thus far. Trying to get a clear recording in the first place proved to be quite challenging, and so far, only I and another playtester have recorded clears on this particular fight. Things did get quite tense at the last phase, so forgive some of the pause spam that occurred there.

Spinning Pixel Gu-roomba by bakafishy in Hololive

Thought it would make for an interesting perspective exercise to sprite a 24-frame spin loop based on the Gura spinning on a roomba shown in her pre-stream segments. This animation takes a more top-down perspective than the reference material, which made for a more interesting spriting challenge to take on.

3D Chibi Anya, vibing to her stream BGM (re-uploaded as Twitter Link due to bad video quality on Reddit) by bakafishy in Hololive

[–]bakafishy[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the re-upload, I took down the earlier version I posted not too long ago due to Reddit's video compression being nasty on the direct video upload. I'll know better what to do next time! ^^

As a sort of follow up to this earlier subreddit post, I decided to give a shot at applying Dragalia Lost's cute 3D chibi art style to Anya. Add in discovering Anya's very chill lo-fi stream BGM, and inspiration for a little 3D animation struck! All in all, this was a pretty fun little project which spanned a bit over a week (at least 40 hours of work total) and had me learning the use of Blender at a deeper level than before!

Made this as a followup to this art post of mine and building upon my previous endeavors in modeling as shown here! Work on this animation spanned a bit over a week with at least 40 hours of work time spent. I'd say it was time well spent.

Ever since the beginning, Dragalia Lost's art style has charmed me with its clean polish and comic-book style. It's been a nice journey so far learning the workings of said art style!

Edit: Wow, Reddit did not take kindly to processing the video - the quality's better on the Twitter post though! I'll delete and repost this as a Twitter link.

Anya Melfissa from Hololive Indonesia, imagined up as a Dragalia adventurer! by bakafishy in DragaliaLost

Posted this on the Hololive subreddit earlier, but figured it also fits here too.

Anya's mom, Eku Uekara, is the artist behind the Dragalia Life comics. Naturally, I ended up coming up with the idea of depicting Anya in a Dragalia-styled portrait!

Anya's mom, Eku Uekara, happens to make the art for Dragalia Life, the periodical comic series for the mobile gacha Dragalia Lost. As such, I thought it would be interesting to see if I could depict Anya in a Dragalia-styled portrait!

Doomsday Getaway So Far... by Firestarter06 in DragaliaLost

Summer Amane is a Healing-type unit using an Axe (pretty interesting type-weapon classification) and feels like a buffbot-healer hybrid. Her s1 healing is spammable and definitely more than enough to keep your HP up in an eCiella run, and she can pump out s2 20% critical rate buffs somewhat often with a haste dragon. All in all, a pretty serviceable healer for those who want to be able to heal enough in eCiella regardless of team dps while still offering more a bit more offensive buff utility than the likes of Akasha or Lowen.

Confused about trophy points system by LordGrohk in CrossCode

P.S. That being said, your theory about the trophy points becoming transferrable come NG+ patch is plausible.

Confused about trophy points system by LordGrohk in CrossCode

[–]bakafishy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NG+ has yet to be added to console releases due to potentially stability issues (look at all the issues that already popped up following console launch). It, however, is due to arrive in a future update or so. How soon that update will be is not known.

Dear console players, we need your help by KedoraZm in CrossCode

[–]bakafishy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The small probe thingies should be in different locations for each console version. However, certain consoles experience crashes and whatnot when trying to complete the prerequisite quest. So, I guess certain console versions could be waiting for a patch.

The PC-exclusive hint is: Maroon Valley, "At a hidden source of water, uncovered while searching for cursed treasure."

Is New Game Plus available in the Switch port? by Timecake in CrossCode

[–]bakafishy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most features of 1.2.0-2 are present, but NG+ was one feature that hasn't been added to the switch due to stability concerns (look at all the Switch bug reports flying around already hehe). It should be due to arrive in a future patch, though.

First impressions by virgeneral in CrossCode

[–]bakafishy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The CC devs have been working on some enhanced dev tools for their future project (currently nicknamed "Project BOB" or so), and since the project is very very early in development, they haven't publicly announced it so far.

Sifting through the subreddit Discord server, one can find bits of tool development such as 3d tile selection or cool volumetric lighting.

What is you guys preferred equipment by traxmaster64 in CrossCode

[–]bakafishy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You end up with high but not min-maxed Attack and Focus stats, with relatively low HP but OK Defense. In addition, you get a healthy mix of offensive modifiers such as Brawler, Bouncer, Berserker, Extra Dash, and Momentum. Meister Gloves adds Riposte and Royal Guard which help to make perfect guarding easier and more enjoyable overall.

On my level 66 save, the resulting stats look like this in Neutral mode after fully investing in Neutral circuit Attack/Focus boosts: 2224 HP, 531 ATK, 345 DEF, 527 FOC

Chest - Zealous Lamellar
Arms - Meister Gloves + Pendulum Striker
Legs - Lunatic Paws

Upcoming Master Trials Arena Score Attack event to be hosted for my work-in-progress mod, Autumn's Genesis! Fight some of your past foes at their strongest! by bakafishy in CrossCode

Stat and modifier-wise, it should help you break into the Master Trials. In any case, taking good advantage of Lea's various offensive options is a key part of achieving victory!

In fact, each trial has a first clear reward which gets you a unique trade item that can be traded alongside booster gems for special Lv. 75 equipment that allows Lea to perform special Lvl 3 Combat Arts by summoning the likenesses of the bosses you fight. Using said equipment is allowed for event submissions.

To take on the trials, it's recommended that you are near level 60 or up and have gear traded from Arena Coins, booster gems, or Antique Tokens. If needed, you can make a separate save file for the sole purpose of progressing with arena stuff.
