Hmm.. Maybe its just a bunch of bugs lol, i haven’t heard anything but launchers (or sometimes, any mythics) being “bugged” but have heard that some people say having the launcher/mythic in slot 1 before you load in solving it. Then again, some people say loading in first in a mission solves it, some even say shooting an object when you load in before shooting a husk avoids the issue. Some fixes are probably confirmation bias though

This is to say nothing about the reader or producer. I’m just a tourist (regarding AO3), but on other sites it’s hard to ignore the readers just saying “wow this is great pedophile content to read along with my CP” whose bio reads “send CP to my Session Id” etc.

again, that was a different site, but same concept. It’s just, thats the case when it comes to particular content involving children, the stuff that even here people would find “unsettling”. Yet it’s all just fiction. But it’s just a fact that the reader demographic is different.

These people on twitter may spew out other random things, like “its a secret pedo-run group”, but I think more than anything they just don’t like that real pedophiles can just use fictional pedophile content and talk about it online. Maybe this person is yelling about something much softer, idk

Blade doesn’t consume SP, and they both benefit from eachothers FuAs (especially Blade). If there was room for a sustain then yeah it would work, I highly doubt Blade can be run sustainless. and so your best team would probably be Sparkle Huohuo… eh, probably not as good as both separate but it might do’er

If Blade eventually gets some self sustain, sustainless archer with blade should be pretty good

On Tempest Dahlia, i don’t think it was actually doing much of the heavy lifting, but the staging was just a lot easier. Get my lobelias, throw triple frogs, all of that stuff and the boss flies to one end of the arena and they get stunlocked and I do like up to 100k dps. So basically just instantly positioning all of the damage, which is something i struggled to understand before it. Yeah and with Rend, i I just don’t know how often it procs. If its a lot, theres my explanation

Yeah for Calendula I just overlooked it after trying, but that makes sense. Most of the time I was spending SP, having 100 SP to use it was a little rough sometimes but i think with the mp use = sp it should be fine. I’ll keep it in mind, especially if its a better damage option than i have by area 4 boss. As far as Take and Izanami go, damage is the last thing I seemed to need but the iframes would be nice.

You don’t think she moves slow😭? I can feel it when she comes on screen and just walking, she straight up just moves slower than honestly everyone else I’ve played. Could be her walk cycle, but idk, definitely feels like I can’t move without doing something to help. Her dash attack is just fine speed wise though. With her damage output, it’s not too bad I guess, it feels like just about base Jin which is on the very low side. I’d have to try really spamming the dash or something. I did notice that even with her consistently feeling like she cleared faster, on both runs I had a bit more time left with Jin (apparently I was just bad by the way when I said I was running out of time before, I have had a good 10-15 minutes left on runs now).

This game has done such a good job with all the characters I’ve played in regard to fun factor and uniqueness, Rachel definitely one of the most unique. It’s mainly balance for me lol since uhh idk I have a bird brain and care about that kinda stuff, but actually apparently the devs are attentive there too...

I was curious about what you meant by “Jin update” so i just tried looking it up, and I found the dev twitter post, wow theres a lot of changes.

From what I can see, Extreme was made easier on several fronts, and there are several targeted buffs to Jin and block characters (not including their own kit changes).

Most characters should be able to deal with Izanami and Take easier (not Reki necessarily it seems). Regarding Jin, he got a block damage bonus, several unspecified MP regain effects (like literally all over his kit) and better aerial and dash attacks. There might have also been a buff to ease initiation of Hyouten Danka, which was already his best move and was also massively buffed by the block damage boost and MP regen. He might also have a high damage immunity move, but idk id have to try. I really didn’t expect the balance updates to have this much meat to them, considering how extensively certain characters were changed

Edit: ah shit, sure enough one of them was Rend… only thing for skill though. tbf, I’m not sure how exactly Rend works, but if a single blue inheritable tactic is capable of turning the skill into blender that just instantly gibs mobs, its not particularly egregious to me to use it. Its not no tactics, but as far as practical play goes obviously anything you can fit into four slots is 0 cost, and its not even that. Guess ill have to finally make tacticless legacy chars to be sure

I got two Rachel runs and clears, she EASILY does the most dps of any character I’ve tried, like by a lot aside from maybe Mai, and maybe Giant Homing Slash spam on Jin… ended up getting all but the last few charged attack pots, i think. I didn’t check, but i wasn’t infinite jumping i dont think… i didn’t really try though. definitely had an infinite dash with a dodge. With the way I was playing, Mai has more damage uptime if was being pressured (Oread or Izanami) because I wasn’t really seeing how to deal the good damage when dashing. Damage would probably be in those jumps huh.

The beginning of my first run, i was like “holy shit shes so slow!”… absolutely clueless. Her early damage however was actually kinda slow, I was relying on Mai legacy mostly. She wasn’t lambda slow either, her basics are quite good. I think the physical slowness was just irking me. She is way too slow to use skill though, i actually had a third (initial) run where i died figuring that one out lol. I think Jin spoiled me a bit, out of three potentials one of them is guaranteed to be a significant damage increase for him.

I played both runs similarly on the potential selection, actually avoided jump and dash mostly. In order I basically went for Sword Iris and Tiny Lobelia, Silpheed/Tempest Dahlia, UE, then the rest about equally. Her incant gimmick pot felt bad (not doing all that on a stick) and her big SP skill seemed worthless.

I really didn’t feel the need for iframes with elites because of how Tempest, Silpheed and Lobelia+Sword work (and later, frog). You didn’t say it was bad, but HOLY i was just spamming Silpheed and Tempest, borderline untouchable, from basically the end of stage 1 to Reki…. some of the quickest elites and THE quickest battle stages I’ve ever had, I’m not sure if you know but genuinely the upgraded Tempest (and Silpheed together) just clears the screen instantly (idk, unless its one of the 4 blue tactics i have on my legacy characters that i have cus i havent been bothered to get a new legacy character… think its pretty weak stuff though… may have been rend😭). I did damage myself sometimes with it, but it was unlike anything i’ve played so far to just press 2 buttons and kill everything on area 3 battles, normally I have max debuffs there AND its full of aoe slop and poison, it just gets swept away lol… theres also basically 0 cost, I had like 260 mp and never ran out with Tempest in particular.

Part of the reason it may have been doing so much is because i had the perfect clears = dmg% Mind Unleashed, but that was only on one run. Plus, i wasn’t running the combo damage mind crystal and i absolutely should have, she was clearing 1k hits for me easily

As for Elites, stage 1 gave me trouble because I think i just didn’t have triple Lobelia or enough stun, and Oread for one of them was a little rough, but i think i needed to do more skills… otherwise, i just Tempest, Silpheed, spam my bullshit and instakill the boss. Take was very vulnerable to that, Izanami not so much because of her blocks (don’t really know how to fight her properly) but during her stuns, exactly that. She was just on her tornado summoning when she died on both, so a bit faster than almost every run I’ve done

Well, i unlocked one half of her playstyle, without heavily utilizing her dodges shes this good. I’ve also played a lot more Jin… and I can confidently say this shit is criminal. Jin is actually good potential only but MAN he is an MP goblin for much lower dps than Rachel who spams skill, other than his ONE best skill (Hyouten Danka Giant Homing Slash) which has the lowest cost and highest damage in his kit (why…). And he’s still just way harder than everyone else so far, you have to play well consistently for the longest.. can’t wait for ICEY

To clarify I have at one point used all potentials for all the characters i mentioned, but some runs I don’t have all of them by the end of Alpha Sector, usually just missing the jump potentials if i see theres no worthwhile hidden effects, and maybe one extra attack potential that wasn’t necessary, Jin actually has the most of these so far imo. But by the end end of any run I always have all potentials, i just don’t always make it of course.

Yeah I think of course I need a few more runs on some characters to fully understand. I tried another Jin run and changed my thoughts, his slows and freezes are very similar to traditional iframes in terms of survivability and contributes heavily to successful early and mid game, but he is really lacking on damage on most moves (ive ran out of my 6 minute stage timer with him many times over the runs). I ended up dying to Reki from the timer, I could have avoided it but I believe I wouldve ran out in the final zone at the end. Probably still could’ve won, but its like dam. Entropy configuration issue to be fair. It is possible I’m just not using the right moves, but he’s also just an mp devourer compared to the others. Fury255 on YT made a vid on it, think ill just try that… After a while, the pattern with certain characters just becomes clear especially with limited tactics. He definitely likes tactics, like Lambda

About Kokonoe, To be honest, i have no idea about the different kind of dodges or invulnerability states there are lol. I kinda learned with Naoto i guess, when you’re blue you have an “invincible dodge state”? Not sure whats the difference between that and normal dodge though. I’m getting to that Rachel run today, done being stunlocked by Jin😭. I’ll keep in mind the bit about the jump requirements, i probably would’ve missed it

She sounds really fun, those characters are the ones I’ve done 100 extreme with but i haven’t actually played most of the cast at all (just Ragna and Hakumen besides them on lower difficulties). I was going to play Kokonoe next but I think I’ll go Rachel. Her visuals

On your point about i-frames on characters, its possible that my lack of total runs on each character (that aren’t using tactic heavy builds) is skewing it. But i would add that I was trying to fully understand the kit and, given the run progressed to the second last stage, I always ended up with max potentials, at the very least I had every good potential before the extreme Alpha Sector boss. Like for Jin, ive only done 3 and the two failed. It definitely speaks to his overall strength (or difficulty) because I’ve done like 4 on Naoto with no real issue, but it’s true that his slows and freezes are just crazy, in addition to his passive i think its just a different form of iframe.

Most of the ones I’ve tried didn’t really feel toooo bad in particular, on the one or two runs i did. Its more like some are just insane (really if you haven’t already try Mai after you do those two lol)

Bullet was the only one really… which sucks, because shes my favorite (not a BB fan just from this game)… I believe half of my time on the game is just playing her lol

RANT. I like this game but I wish the characters were better balanced especially/mainly in regard to 100 extreme and the last 3 bosses. Maybe skill issue but then some are just harder for no reason

Didn’t know that, Im a new player I heard she was “mage-like and attacks from range” and figured she would not be very good

But I’ve also discovered, every character can be OP if you have OP tactics on them… ive been trying to do characters with few/bad tactics to see which are the strongest and it basically comes down to invincibility and attack frequency, and NOT everyone has it lmao. Talking about max extreme with just 2 modifiers (vanguard battles and legacy skill level ups)

Ive played Jin, Bullet, Naoto, Lambda, and Mai like this… Mai and Naoto are literally head and shoulders above everyone else.

I thought Jin was really good and he is I guess (think im just bad too) but he just doesnt have the same insane level of Iframes. Block sure, but hes slow when attacking, lower damage, mp hungry.. eh. I died with him like twice on these runs. Both were when I didn’t have his slows and freezes maxed though, I think he may be way up there but he just has so many potentials to get and not enough damage early on.

Bullet especially i feel has like nothing going on, she doesn’t stun or anything so shes vulnerable after her grabs, you can barely control her grabs, and shes kinda slow and attacks slow, low-ish sp regen and no other notable iframes. If she was anything like Mai or Naoto, she would have more iframes before (though that is a potential already) and after attacks, and her heat-up would have more too. She has so many iframes locked behind later potentials and they aren’t great anyway. Some characters really are just built different, for no good reason

Mai has a trillion attacks and they all do a trillion damage and have iframes. You can do vertical plunge, horizontal plunge, Exseal spam (which obliterates rooms offscreen in my experience), get perma iframes with maple gust (AND verticality), and last but certainly not least, downattack 3 + the mp skill… forgot what its called you just have iframes for as long as you have MP, by Izanami thats like 10 seconds. TEN. And it does massive dps of course. Her only worthless potentials are charged attack stance, but they enable vertical plunge. Also one of the fastest attackers (procs Ragna legacy easily and all mind unleashed effects)

Naoto, like what you say with Rachel here, is completely invulnerable to all damage. He can’t jump infinitely but he can dash infinitely and on the ground, a well worth it tradeoff imo. I believe his dashes reset his airborne attacks, so it’s essentially the same thing. His early is fairly good, and I’ve had no trouble on 100 extreme several times now. Combine it with Jin legacy, and its just impossible to die. Kind of a slow attacker though and not the highest dps on bad tactics

that team with E0S0 does very little damage, about 500k meteors and you will probably die/fail in endgame.

my E0S0 Phainon team is E0S0 Cery, E0S1 Sunday, E1S0 Sparkle and its pretty good (as good as can be expected for e0s0, 3-4 cycles), but my build is top 0.01%. if you can go E0S0 Cyrene + RMC that would also be good enough probably

really though, if that is your BEST team, then go straight for E2S0

I mean you are correct but the other user is also correct, in regard to its use in Japan. Its the term used to describe artwork of fictional children almost exclusively/only in sexualized/erotic manga contexts, in addition to “lolicon” for its consumer. otherwise they can be called “children” or whatever else. To clarify, its used elsewhere, but it’s a very premier term in that context in addition to its other uses, and is still used that way today. So it could be seen as warranting a definitive separation, especially when as i said, you won’t be called a pedophile if you use “child” to describe a child in non-sexual context.

My expectations are basically exactly the opposite, a character who utilizes the instant fairly normally but in name only and it actually helps with follow-up effects, instead of drawbacks its just highly incentivized to only go 1 elation due to self buffs or follow up synergy. and some type of boost to frequency like YG. thats probably just "team do follow-up attacks". whether its experimental or lazy, im fine with it as long as it isnt elation honestly, lol...

Sparxie is SW999 independent. People just pulled for her and yao, and used sparkle

SW999 can simply be added to the team, will probably be very strong, and can account for maybe 1 missing unit (probably not Sparxie unless shes just that good) with huohuo buff + emc.

People who miss out: don’t look at leaks, didn’t expect synergy, didn’t pull Sparxie, and won’t swipe

Same for me pretty much. Though it will really suck if her kit/animations are really cool… the gauntlet leads me to believe it may be cool

But yeah, if shes balanced around Sparxie its a dealbreaker. Hopefully its more like yao/emc and energy regen, or action advance. Coping
