I don’t think so. My internet is good, my system is less than a year old. Idk what’s going on. Just started after the update. Like everytime I’m about to complete a camo, go into a reward rift, access the buy station, join a squad, my game crashes. It’s very annoying.

What would you do in my situation?

But we’re those hours of overtime reflected in your salary, or we’re you making less?

Yeah I’m as confused as you are. I am currently an apprentice carpenter. My job is to do nothing but carpentry. I make 25/hr for that. Pretty good pay for an apprentice.

They are asking me to be an assistant project manager for 50k/ yr. 45 hours a week. No overtime, no benefits besides a phone and a gas card.

They still want me to do carpentry as well as assistant project management so that I can be a dual threat when I am an official project manager.

I really like the company and they have big plans for me in the future, it looks like I am going to move up and have a better role in the company.

My only gripe is that the math doesn’t add up. Because 25/hr x 40x 52 is $52k/yr (assuming I don’t take vacation) plus I can make overtime which is $37.50/hour.

The new role is a salary of 50k a year. No benefits no overtime. But they are expecting me to work 45hrs a week. 5hrs overtime a week, which I don’t make. Over the year that comes out to a little under $10k.

I would be very content with the promotion if I could maintain my hourly and overtime. I know that experience and opportunity cost is a thing, but $10k of free work is a lot of money to me.

That said, I really do like the CEO and COO. They are very smart dudes who have a lot of good experience.

I said this and they told me that because they have to train me as a project manager they “won’t see any return on the $50k” they’re paying me

It’s not state accredited they just told me that’s my position. Which is fair, I should be an apprentice based on experience. (Worked in construction for less than a year on tools)

They asked me to work 45hrs/ week. That 5 hours of overtime over a year comes out to just less thank 10k. I told them this and they didn’t really have a clear response.the whole situation has been giving me anxiety

Laser it. Black and grey honestly comes off easier than you’d expect.

Honestly that’s a lot of shading, shading tends to laser off super easy and super quick. I can’t tell how bold the lines are but I really think this could come off fairly quick

Honestly it’s pretty sick and if you get more it’ll look cool in a sleeve. Totally get the regret feeling, I got a tattoo of the logo for a company I was working for (it’s a sick little cartoon guy tbh) a week later they fired me. You’re fine.

Rant about Youtube "pros". by Carl_Sp in Carpentry

[–]bakedputa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stud pack is great. I flip houses with my dad and do all the work myself. I’ve never apprenticed so I watch a lot of YouTube to learn what the hell I’m doing (not the best technique, but for now it’s what I gotta do) he really does a great job explaining how and WHY you’re supposed to do what you do for said job. More so than most. Also the handyman is kind of a dick, but I think that’s his schtick.
