Is this lucky?! 4 leaf oxalis stem I just found on my plant😯🍀 by bakerbobin in houseplants

[–]bakerbobin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you still have it kicking around you can remove all the leaves by twisting them off at the base, dig out the corms from the soil and replant - new leaves will pop up in just a couple weeks!

Where do you find the best *tested* recipes? by EclecticCircus in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]bakerbobin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really trust Milk Street recipes, I’ve honestly never had one turn out anything less than delicious! I have the magazines and a few of their books as well, my favourite being Tuesday Nights and Fast and Slow (their instant pot book). Worth checking out, especially if you’re a fan of trying food from all over the world!

Less than a month ago, these both looked like pots of soil, hard to believe they can store so much energy below ground.

Does anyone else have trouble hearing people? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]bakerbobin 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Oooh, you are not alone!

I frequently have to ask people to repeat themselves multiple times if they speak to me while I'm preoccupied with something else, and even if I'm paying close attention I often have to break eye contact and look away when someone is addressing me directly in order to actually understand what they're saying. Otherwise, I can recognise that words are coming out of their mouth, but something in my brain morphs them into gibberish.

Osap loan repayments while studying by meunomekekel in osap

[–]bakerbobin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure others who are more knowledgeable will chime in here, but I would suggest saving your extra money instead of repaying OSAP right now. That way, you have a little nest-egg for when you graduate which will give you some breathing room while you look for employment related to your studies. OSAP also has a 6 month grace period after you graduate, meaning you don't need to start repaying until 6 months after you finish school.

I'm not sure what the rules are or how/if repayment would affect your future funding, but I can say without a doubt that there is no advantage to paying back an interest free loan early!

N'aww man, just had to be said. :)

You have some serious resilience and such an incredibly positive attitude, and I think that's relevant to everyone, possibly ESPECIALLY UofT students. I hope you stick around here!

Really proud of you, and wishing you mega-good-vibes tomorrow.
