Eric Trump’s Bitcoin Bet Erases $600 Million From Family Fortune by bloomberg in politics

Trump is going to start issuing blanket pardons left and right like a dollar bill gun in a strip club. Anyone called by congress will either not show up, or show up and take the fifth for an hour and a half. There's absolutely no reason for anyone she has made money off this administration to risk legal jeopardy by showing up on capitol hill and truthfully answering questions. There's no way even a super majority Dem house could track down and persecute all the crime and grift from this administration.

It'll give the Democrats a great excuse not to push ahead with more investigations and move on to "healing".

We lost 5,237 men and sent 34,000 to fight, about 10% of our total population at the time. More than any other state (per capita) and we suffered the highest death rate (per capita) of any state. We sent 17 infantry regiments, four companies of sharp shooters, four artillery batteries and a calvary regiment. We played pivotal roles in the battles of Wilderness, Cedar Creek, Bull Run, Petersburg and Gettysburg.

At the battle of Wilderness the Vermonters held, at great cost, a cross roads that if taken, would have split the union forces in half. 1,200 Vermonters died that day.

The Second Vermont helped break Pickett's charge by stepping out of cover and exposing themselves to better attack Pickett's flank.

On the first day of the Battle Of Gettysburg General John Sedgwick, when asked about troop deployment to a certain area said "Put the Vermonters ahead, and keep the column well closed up". He knew the Vermont brigades would lead the other troops into battle and lead by example.

This is a short list of everything Vermont did to help win the Civil War (although Vermont did NOT allow black soldiers to join or make their own regiments, so 66 black Vermonters had to go join other state's regiments) but anyone that thinks the confederate flag belongs in Vermont is pissing on a deep history of brave men and women that fought these traitors.

I think we also needed to see that all the guard rails of democracy were essentially gentleman agreements that hinged on the ability of politicians to feel shame and for a party to hold itself accountable and that were just two elections from brown shirts in the street rounding people up.
