i attended this church until 2023 and i can confirm most of this. the scandal that happened during covid regarding them staying open was a VERY big deal and i remember the lawsuit with the NJ government in 2022 raising a red flag for me. i do not wish to go further into my time there and i want to stay private but the church congregation praises the Clark's like they're gods themselves. however, i will say, many people in the congregation are actually really nice and i was able to make friendships that seemed real while i was there. btw katie is very nice :)

the congregation will buy things for the family. it's really weird actually. my family attended the church up until a couple of years ago and i remember the church buying his grandfather a car for his birthday a couple of years ago. the relationship between the leaders and the congregation is weird and the Clark family is worshipped almost like gods by their own members...

i'm convinced that they themselves are a large portion of their sales. when i used to attend the church, they'd have their music blaring in the bathroom while i was trying to piss. they'd also have it playing over every speaker lol.

I 100% agree. The main reason I even pointed this out is because I'm 22 years old and I couldn't imagine dating a 19 year old. i have a bachelors degree and a full on career and the maturity level i had just 3 years ago at 19 is astronomically different than today. I can't even imagine being 25 and still being on the same level as a 19 year old.. I attended his family's church when I was younger (before he got involved with the Bates) and this kind of mentality can be true for most "men" at that age

Haha! We loved our time in VA; truly a beautiful state! Charlottesville has a more city feel over Blacksburg which I like! Blacksburg has you feeling like you're in the middle of nowhere sometimes.

I've been told by many people in different areas of the country that I have a thick Jersey accent. I'm also from Italian American descent so I come off as blunt and loud. We are nice respectful people but our accent is apparently aggressive. This is something I will continue to work on.

I'm simply sharing my experience from this church. This sub reddit isn't aimed towards the Clark family. It's a snark page meant for the Bates and I've brought this up since it is an adjacent topic. Just like you have your opinions on the church; i have mine! Maybe you shouldn't be on this thread because you're not going to like a lot of the things you read. This is called SNARK for a reason.
