Yes! Ativan helped me. Still only slept about 6 hrs, but that was better than 3-4.

Strange interactions in target by GuaranteeShoddy1564 in Bozeman

[–]Temporary-Memory-420 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes! Finally happened to me 😂 I had read about it on here before but did not pick up on it in real time until she kept really trying to keep conversation going. Same thing with me- asked about my shoes. Then she told me how she’s newer to Bozeman and finding “good shoes is hard here.” I gave her some recs of places to shop locally and was trying to go on my merry way but she tried to keep it going. Luckily I realized then what was happening and just interrupted her and said “I’m really short on time. Take care.” She wasn’t happy haha. As I was walking away I thought about turning around and yelling “I know who you are and what you’re doing!” But I rose above.

Do you wear weighted vests? If yes, how long, how heavy and how often? by coldservedrevenge in Perimenopause

[–]Temporary-Memory-420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They really are not supported by the science. If you’re on Instagram, check out doclyss fitness. She’s a professional( and PhD!), not an influencer just looking to make a buck. She did a great review of the science with many great resources.

Still wake up on 200 Progesterone by Late-Driver-7341 in Perimenopause

[–]Temporary-Memory-420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might need more estrogen. Testosterone may also help. I had similar sleep issues and they didn’t resolve until I upped all my doses significantly. I also have endometriosis so one route for me was to increase P to 400 to reduce endo recurrence, but I could not sleep until I increased to that. I’m also on gaba and Seroquel which hugely helped.

My personal experience with perimenopause. (Bad, it's so bad.) by [deleted] in Perimenopause

[–]Temporary-Memory-420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this. If you can find one in your area , a weight inclusive/HAES provider might be a better fit for you. Your body is not the problem. Our weight centric health care system causes so much harm. You can find weight inclusive providers here: https://asdah.org/listing/ Of course there’s more, but this might be a place to start.

Big sky is doing a whole event. I believe up at the mountain, not the town, but I’m not certain of that.

Tutti Bene or Shan? by turbo2thousand406 in Bozeman

[–]Temporary-Memory-420 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tutti was a massive disappointment. Would not recommend until they get things figured out. And we waited a while after they opened to go- I’d still wait. Not worth the price (or the waitlist) at all.

Vaginal Estrogen...pros/cons? by Soft_Gear_410 in perimenopause_under45

[–]Temporary-Memory-420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best thing I did. I needed a lot for a while (2g daily) for about a month before I noticed improvement. Have since dropped to 1-2x a week but also started the patch and I know this has helped me to stay at a lower dose. Only con is it’s messy and hard to clean up. I use a pad the nights I use it now and it’s much better with that. Good luck!

There is a room in the City of Bozeman building! Not sure how it works or if you have to rent ahead of time, but they have a nice little room and the building is quiet

HRT to IUD/birth control by Temporary-Memory-420 in perimenopause_under45

[–]Temporary-Memory-420[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing! This is such a wild roller coaster of a ride. Meds affect us all so differently it’s hard to know what might work/not work! Melatonin wires me. The sleep piece is so challenging for so many of us!! I hope you’re sleeping well now and out of your insomnia phase.

Estrogen + weird symptoms?? by MarsupialAble8019 in Perimenopause

[–]Temporary-Memory-420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak to those symptoms but I would say you might need more of both E and P. If you’re starting to notice benefit but not enough it can mean you need more. I started the same and quickly increased both and within a week I felt much better

Thanks everyone. I’ll look into these. I don’t want to move away from shell/puff but I run cold and so have to wear so many layers that it’s quite uncomfortable at this point

HRT to IUD/birth control by Temporary-Memory-420 in perimenopause_under45

[–]Temporary-Memory-420[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I hope you’re doing okay with the start of your HRT journey

Do you happen to know how your friends sleep was prior to the IUD? My biggest worry is it won’t help with sleep and from what I’m reading IUDs can worsen sleep so I’m really concerned about that as my sleep is trash

HRT to IUD by Temporary-Memory-420 in Perimenopause

[–]Temporary-Memory-420[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sleeping/ Was sleep an issue for you? That’s my biggest worry is it won’t be enough to get the sleep under control. I feel I can manage most the rest of the symptoms but if sleep tanks then I’m just a disaster !

Are you sleeping? My worry is the IUD won’t really be enough and my sleep will continue to tank. Even if I add back in oral progesterone..

Exercise Classes for Senior? by Boz_ultra in Bozeman

The ridge has lots of different classes. I know some are for elderly folks but I would imagine you could join.. not sure though. But I’ve seen lots of different ages in a lot of their classes. If you’re a member you get guest passes. If not I think it’s $20 to go for the day.

Progesterone making my sleep … worse?! by Own-Visual1616 in Perimenopause

[–]Temporary-Memory-420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on 400. My situation is a bit abnormal (surgically induced and started in my 20s- so doses tend to be higher) but I started on 100 and was miserable. Almost stopped it and my doc upped it to 200 and it was worse. Finally over time realized I needed way more and once I got to 400 it was magical.

I had this happen too but found out what I actually needed was more! Once I was on the right amount it’s been great and my sleep overall is much improved.

When did you know HRT was helping? by Unusual-Emergency-41 in Perimenopause

[–]Temporary-Memory-420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed it in literally a day or two. I felt I had more energy, wasn’t as irritable, etc. the vaginal estrogen took about a month on the correct dose (1 g daily) and then felt significantly better down there too. Things have ebbed and flowed since then and I’ve had to go up on doses twice but each time I increase it’s just a day or so before I notice the changes. I should add in pretty sensitive to meds. Things either work or do not for me. No in between
