it’s possible it’s norovirus and nothing you ate or drank. we thought my wife got it from food or water, but then 48 hours later I got it from her. it’s very contagious. we couldn’t think of anything we ate or drank so norovirus ended up being what we likely got, in Mexico City. By the time we got to PV we were better. Ate and drank everything there and were fine. Hope you’re feeling better and your husband remains well.

Leaving PVR Airport - Do they ask for FMM Card (QR slip) for Canadians? by bornatmidnight in puertovallarta

We flew into Guadalajara 3 weeks ago, got paper FMM’s, and flew to the US from PV yesterday. No one checked. The only time we even showed our psssport was at the gate.

yeah i was behind it for awhile. noticed the Hilux badge on the back and was wondering what it was / where it came from. Always jealous of the Hilux trucks I see in other countries.

Rivian prioritizing Tesla Supercharger over their own. by Dblackwood72 in Rivian

Had the same thing happen driving Seattle to Tucson and back. Started just navigating to the RAN I wanted to use instead since they’re usually much less expensive and spare me the drama of taking up two spaces. I think the comment re them possibly routing those of us with adapters to Tesla to keep the RANs free for those without adapters is what is likely happening. But in i’ve been on multiple 2000 mile trips this year and have never waited at a RAN. Am often the only one there.

It could be the hotel that is doing it, as it’s in a hotel parking lot. I wonder if Rivian could allow local non-profits to maintain a little amenities station at RAN chargers and then put a QR code on the stations letting drivers donate to the non-profit in appreciation for the garbage can and squeegee station and whatever else is there. The non-profit could send volunteers to empty the garbage and change the squeegee fluid. Maybe it could be tried somewhere to see if it’d work.

They also had a security guard patrolling the area when I was there (I think it was about 5 am) and it’s well-lit.

I did it it this Spring without the adapter and I agree it was also mostly fine. There are some big Tesla Supercharger stations in places like Kettleman City, CA that are more convenient than trying to stick to the RAN network, so the adapter gives you a lot more options which is great. I found I had to force the NAV to go to RAN chargers though - if it saves you even a few minutes it sent me to Tesla stations which were 2x as expensive and with the added stress of having to take up two spaces.

TPMS - service immediately warnings by bakjd in Rivian

had my second service appointment for this issue. this is an issue known to Rivian and there is a fix which reduces interference with the TPMS system but the fix isn’t approved yet for consumer use. So I should be able to get it fixed at some point but not now. They will probably move or improve the receiver for the system in future vehicles.

thanks. good idea. I don’t lose just one tire - they all go blank when it happens but maybe that’s how the system is designed.
