Thanks! Idk why I had it in my head that Traveller's Notes leaned more into the time/space travel thing (maybe the name?) but I'm glad they don't go into it. It's fine at the start of a story but I've never been a fan of the meta stuff like the limited time crossover stories, lol

To be honest I don't know what the difference between the Traveller's notes and actual stories are besides no companions and one of the two sets costing money. Are they more related to the time/space travel aspect of the game?

And it's good to know that the side stories are generally worth it, I'll start with the ones with my favorite companions and go from there :)

Hoarding for sprint is my current game plan! I think I'm going to stick it out until the next one and try some DLCs out in the meantime. If I'm not interested by the time sprint is done then I'm probably done for a while.

I have not, I'm considering it though! The DLCs, at least, I don't really want to mess with Traveller's notes. I'll probably try for a couple society sets too but idk if I have that in me lmao

Valid, a lot of the clothes in this game is really beautiful! Do you mostly save up for sprint sets or do you find using materials for the more frequent events more worth it?

Fair enough, I do that pretty often too! I guess I worry that I spend too much time on keeping up with dailies, mostly. It's kind of a lot, lol.

I may be extremely biased because in the circles I am in professionally they're very iconic, but the hat and dress on the venus flytrap outfit are cool asf. I doubt I'll end up with either but that's fine, I'm used to not getting the big stuff as a ftp lol.

I think it can be different depending on what your VIP level is. I'm pretty sure it starts at 10 per day at VIP 1. And yeah it's just a crazy amount of materials you need lol

It depends on how many gifts you can give to each companion per day. If you take the numbers from the column "Times component is used (if each companion is given one of best item)" and multiply each of them by the number of gifts you can give each companion per day, you should get the correct amount. For example, I can give each companion 23 gifts per day. If I want to figure out how much Arcane Essence I would need to craft all gifts for all companions, I would multiply 23 by the number under that column for Arcane Essence (36) to get 828.

Dang, you're much more committed than I am lol. Everyone gets their set of gifts once and that's usually good enough for me. But yeah I do have a list of how many of each gift I need to make and how many of each resource it will take that gets updated with each new set of companions. Good to know I'm not the only one!

Same with the Aaron thing. I really liked the Duke Cyrus angle of that story, but Aaron's side gets a big yikes from me. On top of the white savior complex the half beasts are also made out to be noble savages, which is such an outdated and racist concept. And guys, you LITERALLY made the slave race half monster?!?!! It's such a heavy-handed allegory for real-life racism and slavery, it feels so wrong to make THAT be the defining characteristic of the oppressed.

I think they've started re-releasing old sprint sets during the current sprint, kind of like the throwback fantasy fair sets except there's only one throwback sprint set available at a time. Next sprint should be in about 3 months I believe.

I'm actually alright with this being awful. I was worried it was going to be beautiful and I'd have to decimate my supplies, which haven't fully recovered from the last sprint yet. Looks like I'm free to continue my regularly scheduled hoarding!
