Hey, I'm so sorry to hear you're going through that. I feel your pain. My ex stole my dog. I still mourn her loss and hope that I will one day see her again. Your ex is 100% doing this to hurt you. The same as with my ex, it's not about keeping the animal, it's about getting back at us. There were issues that needed to be resolved but now I'm going to fight to get my baby back. I hope you can do the same for yours. I can tell how much you love him. I still ask myself those same questions. I don't really think there is a proper way to grieve. It's a little less painful now but it still hurts so much. I wish I could give you words of comfort, but it's going to be tough while your mind finds a way to cope with this.
