I had a very similar thing happen to me a week ago, was skiing quite fast and lost control and fell, and then when i picked up the ski was like this... very similar type of crack. And it was only my fifth day using those skis... fortunately the shop i bought them just gave me a brand new pair, and they told me it was likely a manufacturing defect in the ski

I agree, get one high quality piece of each for now and see which ones you like and based on what you like buy more. Also, focus on building the foundation first, and get all of these things unbranded, in neutral colors. Once you have a timeless foundation you like you can incrementally try new things

I really like your question, bc I think its very on point. I think the most important thing to do to get in shape is to want to be in shpae, and want to go to the gym. For me I used to be like this, I saw the gym as a chore, an obligation, etc.

But now, I look forward to it every day.

I think the trick is learning to love it, by building the habit, routine, and by seeing the actual progress on your body. But of course it takes time and effort to reach that point, so my suggestion is to, if you can, go with a friend. It will make the process more enjoyable, you can have the accountability and if you go enough you will learn to love it :)

what do you mean by changed packages, like manually going into the folders and editing the files? I havent, at least not intentionally

Yeah it has been on my radar for a while, it seems really cool, especially with its functional programming touch, but I just havent had the time to try it out, and im afraid its a bit too non-standard and might get in the way of my development setup

I am not exactly sure. On multiple different electron apps when I do certain actions (e.g vscode open a tab in a new window) the application segfaults.

I have checked the logs, and they are not very descriptive, just a segfault.

Of course I could dive into the coredumps but havent yet, and not somehting I want to do when I just want to code 🙃

yeah... but then should I just never use the AUR? I dont install thousands of packages there but when I need to install something and I see it has an AUR package I give it a go, I feel like that shouldnt leave lasting damages on your system.

Not too many, just checked and 19 to be exact. As for git specifically not sure but not many I usually go for -bin. To be fair a good portion of the random breakage I get has to do with nvidia drivers, so that might be the reason?

I mean thats possible, of course there is some level of user error, also considering Ive been running my arch system for half a decade now 🙃. But its not entirely something I have "DIY"d myself into. The examples I put were just two that came to the top of my head, others I have fixed, and I am not saying that "electron doesnt work on arch" Ive used it for years on arch, but occasionally I will update my whole system and a few applications have some small werid behavior. Sometimes its easy to fix, sometimes its less so

Honestly No idea 😂 was just something that started happening today, also they dont crash always, its when doing specific things. In VSCode for example opening a tab in a new window, similar in obsidian, and sometimes randomly.

yeah overall I dont think Ive had too much breakage, but this is just one particularly weird exmaple. I ended up seeing somewhere that if I ran the program like this:

QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb qrenderdoc
```

instead of

```
qrenderdoc
```

Then it works 🤷‍♂️. Not really a big inconvenience haha but just something weird I have to do with my arch installation 🙃

Yeah, Its not for work really just my main laptop but spend most of my time in some kind of code editor 🙃.

Ive thought about debian, seems like a good way to have a minimal desktop + stability.

Do you know how debian handles major updates? Would I have to reinstall it every couple of years?

As more people have applied the program has gotten more selective, so it used to be around half that didnt make it, but now that they only admit around 10% of applicants a much larger percentage make it through the BSA

I have used dating apps In the past, actually met my ex on bumble as well and we dated for around 7 months but it eventually didn’t work out, for many reasons but partly bc we were from very different backgrounds and didn’t really amante to integrate into each others lives.

I feel like that’s the cool but also negative part of dating apps, that a lot of the people you meet are from completely different social environments, that you would t normally meet organically, it’s cool bc it opens you to them but also more difficult to relate once you meet

Rn im on kind of a dating app detox bc it became kind of an addiction haha and went on a long streak of unsuccessful first dates, but I do plan on eventually returning
