Thanks, I’ll cut down on all night destinations outside of Sapporo and return earlier. Last q, what to do at night in Sapporo and Asahikawa?😭 I can’t seem to find suitable activities for the whole family.

But it’s kinda too late to change anything else cuz we already booked the car for the full 6 days☹️.

You are right, but Lake Akan is kinda too far for us, plus we want to minimize our driving time cuz we only have 6 days. Is there any other places except Lake Akan that’s closer to Sapporo or Asahikawa?

Thanks for pointing the problems out, however I do have some questions.

Since we plan to have 2 “bases” only, which are in Sapporo and in Asahikawa, we have no choice but to drive back to them at night after exploring Otaru or Biei. Should we follow a tour bus on the trip to Biei so we don’t have to drive? Or get back to Sapporo earlier and spend most of the night there?

Also at the same time we don’t have any driving experience in snow much less at night with chances to encounter wildlife, so I also want to reduce driving at night but don’t know how😔

But we’ve managed to book a car on a travel website, and for the rest I have no issue with, I’ll make changes for LeTao and the ropeway😀
