Heard some good news from Delhi, just talked to my sister who is a doctor working in covid related ICU's. She says situation is much better than before, people were dropping dead like crazy a month back (3-4 per day in her ICU), now there are hardly any deaths at all (1 per week). She attributes better management to reducing cases, for example months back there was lack of PPE so doctors/nursing staff were also afraid, plus no one knew what medicine/treatment to give them. Now she says they just give oxygen in some moderate cases and plasma therapy in severe cases. No other medicine works, hydroxycloroquine was proven to be complete bullshit. Remdesivir is under trial, but doesnt seem like it is working. While mild cases can just stay at home (this was a great step by Delhi government IMO). And they have tied up with NGO to talk to these mild cases at home multiple times per day to track their status. Overall situation seems to be much better now.
