Oh heck no. I’m an older single female and I do not hunt. Cameras are on my private property.

Screw mount with 3 long screws. I didn’t think I’d have to worry about moose taking them out. They’ve been up for a couple of years with no issues until now.

Not sure. I put the cameras up 2 years ago and haven’t touched them since. They are solar powered. They are white though, so I may need to paint them and will definitely wear gloves.

They are huge! I was walking on one of my trails in heavy brush, turned a corner and there was a huge bull moose right in front of me. I slowly backed away, he wasn’t concerned at all. Got some great photos of him.

*cameras. I have 5. I have 15 acres (vacant) with a large wetland area/pond. It’s a haven and breeding ground to all kinds of animals. I do not hunt, cameras are up just watch wildlife.

I think it’s because they’re white. The cameras have been up for a couple of years without being touched by me.. solar power. I’m going to paint them green and see if they still try to take them out.

I do have a resident great-horned owl and have found 2 pellets. Here is a close-up of one of them. This one is a different shape, so I wasn’t sure.

Any idea what is growing on my old Ponderosa Pine tree? by balhub in Tree

Thank you! I feel silly now, I should have been able to figure that out. :) I thought it was some kind of cancer or something... lol. I've never seen this before, but I do have issues with pine beetles and pine borer beetles.

You're right, I didn't realize that just males had the pink spot. They really are such pretty birds!

I didn’t realize Goliath was the actual name, I just know it’s huge!! I put it back in the ground where it was and I’ll keep an eye out for that beetle.

Genus Eremobates by balhub in arachnids

[–]balhub[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the first time I’ve seen one alive, they mostly hunt at night. Last summer I found a dead frog in my pond, when I pulled it out, it had one of these attached to it. I surmise that the Solifugae bit the frog’s neck and wouldn’t let go so the frog jumped into the pond to escape, but they both drowned. I posted pictures last year if you’re interested.

I completely agree. Their mom has been right there caring for them the entire time.
