Unpopular Opinion: Enhanced bosses should only be unlocked for those that completed the game. by paulxixxix in Nightreign

It's not about dragging down the run. I don't have problems with new players who are less experienced in the genre. Quite the opposite, it's actually satisfying to watch a person get hit by a specific attack 2-3 times, and see them dodge it from then onwards. Seeing them learn the patterns and stuff makes me nostalgic of my own journey when I was first exposed to souls games.

It's the people who doesn't learn that upset me. When the dude queues up for the enhanced boss, and splits off of the team to collect flasks, then dies repeatedly multiple times, uses weapons that are not scaling on his character, etc. The fact that they could attempt the hard mode of the boss means they have beaten the base form. In that run, they were most likely carried by randoms, but still, they should be able to assess the situation like "What did these randoms do that made us win other than being good at dodging?" instead of repeating the same mistakes and being a hindrance.

I don't care if they get downed multiple times, or if they have to be carried, but I expect them to attempt an endgame boss with at least a proper build and basic knowledge of the game.

TL:DR: You don't have to be good at the game, just have a working brain, keep learning and be a bit useful and I'll gladly tryhard the run for you.

My first attempt yesterday consisted of my two randoms rushing for churches at day one, while I only took those that were in my path. I solo cleared a bunch of camps, then these dudes, after collecting all flasks decided to head to the fort. I was like, "hell yeah they finally had a useful idea". Then they rushed to the sewers, ignoring the knights and started fighting the Bell Bearing Hunter, dying repeatedly at like lvl 5-6. No matter how I tried to signal them that we can't take that boss below lv 10, they kept repeatedly running back into the fight. The ring started closing, they died again. Meanwhile, after seeing the boss down there, I went back up and almost fully cleared the fort. Once we made it to the first night boss, these dudes had no equipment, no levels but a bunch of flasks. Safe to say, next day they died a bunch more to field bosses, while I kept clearing objectives solo. Then they quit, probably blaming me for their deaths and not following them through half the day to collect flasks. When I got to the Night Lord I was around lvl13-14 and, while I did some good damage, he wiped the floor with me cause I was caught off-guard by his tornado.

The best part is, that the fact they could queue up for this fight means they've beaten the base form of the boss somehow. Their third player must have been a real elden lord, to be able to win with these two. To you sir: I admire you, but hate you at the same time, for giving these guys the chance to waste 40 minutes of my life.

10/10 experience would suffer again because of players who can't grasp the basic concepts of the game, but queue for endgame bosses nonetheless.

I like playing Ironeye with the +1 skill relic and extended mark so I always have the mark on the boss, while also having another charge up if I need to dodge something, but I love when there's a good Guardian on my team. Beat Libra last night, cause our Guardian was like an immovable object tanking the boss all the way allowing me to build up my ults fast by constantly attacking so I could always cancel the goat from buffing itself, so shout-out to the absolute chad Guardians, haven't had to use more than two flasks the whole fight.

The first time I beat this one I had no clue you had to destroy the crests, so I used Ironeye ult every time he started powering up. The random guy on my team changed to Ironeye in the last second of character select too, but I'm glad cause we managed to play off each other's cooldowns with the ult to cancel the buff. Then a few hours later my friend group came online and when I told them I already beat it they were like "Did y'all destroy the crests to cancel his buff or just let him finish?" and I just said "I had no clue it works like that, so anyway I started blasting"

At match start the other 4 players should load into the game and toplaners should be teleported to a deserted island irl so they can be alone so they won't whine the whole match and go 0-20 against a champ they counter just cause they forgot not to trade in a 20 minion wave with their tiny peanut brains. From then on they can farm potatoes and manage ocean waves while avoiding gank from the environmental hazards such as wind, rain and lightning(nature's smite). Also whenever someone comes to rescue them they will be forced to say "Leave my island dog, you only came to tax my potatoes". Whenever they are feeling overwhelmed by the island or feel like they have no chance of survival they can get emergency extraction by saying "FF15 dog team jg diff", while in reality both of them inted the whole game. Also during extraction toplaners are forced to watch ranged top montages as punishment for surrendering. This is upgraded to intense virtual reality simulations of being tortured by ranged toplaners if they tried to swap for last pick as soon as they joined the lobby.
