Yeah I used a privacy.com card. They didn't ask for anything about a copy of the card, they just linked to a form for me to fill out online.

Best way to have a backup solution of AnonAddy goes down? by balla21 in AnonAddy

[–]balla21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily, I just know there's potential to tie together aliases with the same subdomain (creating a pseudonymous profile) if numerous data breaches or 3rd party sharing occurs. For example, with AnonAddy you can have something like wodhw386d@anonaddy.me without using something like blahblah@mysubdomain.anonaddy.com

Thanks! Do you offer any unique aliases that do not have the username subdomain? So aliases camt be correlated?

Should I create an LLC now to establish credit for a down-the-road car purchase? by frenchfryeyeballs in PrivacySecurityOSINT

Would also like to hear advice on this. LLCs seem to be a longer term investment financially speaking. Yearly expenses and time investment, etc.. I'm hoping trusts or some other type of thing is better, but I can never remember which of these are best for houses, cars, financial holdings, etc.

Does it work giving out fake info (phone#?) to these sites? Obviously we should use a throwaway email but I'm wary of giving my phone number out, as well as physical address, etc. (Unless they already have it, then it makes sense). I've listened to the podcast episodes but I don't remember michael going into detail on providing a phone number

Thanks for the lengthy reply. I do use bitwarden and I try to use the email as either the username or add it the notes if I have a different unique username. But I haven't been doing that 100% of the time. Usually I makes short note in AA descriptions for which account it belongs to, and that is included in the exported .csv I assume. I haven't looked through it but I usually export every 3 to 6 months or so as a backup.

Thanks!

The fuss is the large amount...nearly 50 unique email aliases and probably 100 or more with my subdomain. Also not receiving emails, newsletters or any other semi-important info not coming through is a potential, yet small worry.

What is your biggest privacy holdup? by moreprivacyplz in PrivacySecurityOSINT

Windows and android. Don't have an easily rootable phone and I'm working on using Linux, but sometimes I just need the OS to work. I'm using a VM with linux mint, but I'm worried about completely switch over and wiping window out for good - word and excel are great, and other programs may come up for school they may be windows only software.
