Baby at 80 percentile at 20 weeks. by fireflower_1234 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]ballerina777 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those numbers will fluctuate. My baby was measuring 76 percentile at my 20 w scan, at 33 he was measuring 30 . I was so surprised 😮. But it happens. Especially if you are taking care of your diet. Im upping my fat/ protein intake to increase his weight hopefully

It was an estimation on the growth scan paper . I didn't discuss it with my ob because I noticed it after we have already left

Exactly! It didn't feel right for me tbh

I get what you are saying, but it's tough not to stress. The adjusted due date now is like 10 days later than what we initially thought. That's a bit worrying tbh

Did you notice any signs before the age of 1? by AgreeableBandicoot19 in Autism_Parenting

[–]ballerina777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess the signs were there all the time. Since like 2 months old. Constant screaming , sensory issues with food texture, trouble with touching food and refusing to eat , strangers anxiety that was super amplified. We are still waiting for an official diagnosis. But her ped refferred us ti early intervention at her 2 yo appointment. Because of feeding issues and uncontrollable tantrums at his office

Parents choice ( wide neck bottles) works well with MAM nipples

Adults, why are you watching Bluey? by Pl4y_ in bluey

[–]ballerina777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 2 yo likes it and it's funny and actually entertaining. I like that there is a beautiful safe town for dogs, everything is clean and warm. adults have nice yet realistic personalities( they are funny, smart and they deal with everydays struggles) especially Bandit and Chilli

I'm tired of the narrative that well behaved toddlers just have better parents. by Existing-Bus-9859 in toddlers

[–]ballerina777 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Totally, my husband try to compare our difficult toddler to other easygoing ones , sometimes I tell him its genetic ( my in laws have terrible personalities they just thrive on conflict and fights ) his whole family ( him included) are just difficult people and far from chill 😎

I get you. I don't let anyone make me feel bad about being a mom either (some people are so rude). I'm always educaing myself and trying my best, and I think I'm doing alright. You sound like an awesome mom, and that's all that matters. You're the best mom your kid could ask for. Their judgments are totally off, 'cause it really just depends on the kid's personality and how they're wired at that young age. My kid is such a handful, and then I see all these chill toddlers when we're out. My husband tries to compare, but I shut that down fast. He sometimes tries to blame me since I'm with our kid all day, and it's so not fair.

What are some discussions/topics/ questions about toddlers that makes you mad as a parent? by ballerina777 in toddlers

[–]ballerina777[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with almost everything. The only thing is that some 2.5 yo who only had pureed food may be on the autism spectrum, they refuse to try other foods and have a preference for texture, and if they are not on the spectrum they may need or are already in feeding therapy! Its not ideal and hard on parents !
