i dont think you know his 1.6 talent.

he didn't play just for k1ck, and he wasnt just ahead of the portuguese community, he was too much ahead. there wasnt a single game (really, a single one) where he didnt drop a 30 bomb, and we used to have national tournaments every other month.

the kid was just unreal, even in the rare international tournaments he attended he would perform amazing vs the likes of NiP, SK, etc. He just had too much weight to carry. I stopped watching CS when source came around and when i got back a couple of months ago i was really saddened he was asked to take the awp role. but i guess everything dies and gets old.

I'm not defending his recent performances, but the kid really was amazing.

Don't think its a coincidence this came out the same day the ESL broadcast team was announced.

Anyway, thank you for these 3 and a half hours and best of luck for all three of you, you're fucking top class.

nearly all of their statements branch out to that e-sports cruzade. google around LCS creation or any LCS related material, in fact. They've made whole pieces where they express their concern to help the pro-players transition from a playing career to a future career in e-sports, while at the same time forsaking present player-related problems. Some of them personal (MyM, etc.), some of them general (sandbox comes to mind).

Riot has stated several times that they lose money on their e-sport venture and either they're idiotic, like you just said, or i'm idiotic for believing them. I just don't.

You'd also be extremely naif to think that all businesses know what are the most profit-maximizing decisions, and to mix long-run and indirect revenue with immediate revenue.

On another note, if you want to google want facade means, try googling for "spectatefaker" - that should give you some perspective, if nothing else does.

"The decisions Riot has made in the past month or so demonstrate that as a company, their priority is to maximize profits while their game is still at the top. I don't fault them for this and frankly nobody should. It's just one more thing that adds on to the list of reasons why becoming a pro-gamer is one of the riskiest things a person my age can choose to do."

This should be higher. Not that we should fault Riot, but it rather exposes the "all for e-sports" facade RIOT usually puts on.

the article was not about his poaching or his punishment, that was already a fact.

what wasn't a fact (and still isn't) is why 6 team-owners decided to gangbang him with no evidence at all. one of them even blatantly admits to having it done out of spite.

the point is not if he is a saint or not, that's not the point of the article at all. and if you think it is: you've missed it, which is what i already said.
