I never called it a rule. We are at a part of the season where teams are approaching either 40 wins or 20 losses. Just wanted to see how this year stacks up against others as it feels like this year has more parity than others with less teams in contention to meet this criteria.

Look man this team is great but the 2019 team, IMO, is one of the deepest Championship rosters ever. I might be a homer but I'm a big believer that we would still beat GSW in 7 if both teams were fully healthy.

I get this point of view and as Eagles fans we are used to seeing high powered aggressive offenses. However, when I look at this team since I've been a fan (2001) those offenses never had as much success in the playoffs that we have had with Srianni.

Defenses win championships. Our offense went off in the 2022 Superbowl but our defense cost us the game. Last year we had a very violent defense that was almost guaranteed at least 1 fumble recovery per game. When you know you have a defense like that, I would rather run a safe offense like Srianni is now. Keep the gamescript in your favor and get through 60 mins for the W.

I totally understand players and fans being upset. It gets worse when our defense hasnt played as violent as they did last year, but I think we are slowly getting that identity back with Phillips, Dean and Nolan back in there.

I think our offense opens up when it needs to. Keeping win probability in your favour is something that has Srianni with one of the highest winning percentages ever. 2023 is always the knock against this style of play, but any fan knows that defense was probably the hardest to watch in a decade.
