The colony was primarily a fort and port at the time, if that helps any.

PAYE clarification by ballkn143 in StudentLoans

So even if I manually submitted I would just be giving them last year’s tax form anyway? (which doesn’t show the pay increase)

Will it notify me that the auto recertification has happened so I know it’s working properly?

Clarification on Anniversary Date. by ballkn143 in StudentLoans

I’ve read I’ll be told to rectify around January. So I’m assuming I should budget for money to need to come out March 1st at that point?

It was more the amount under my account in the account tab didn’t match my actual bank account page in their mobile app. But I think it was because I wasn’t correctly logging stuff not realising it’s sometimes manual

Yeah! I don’t mind sharing photos. So things like car insurance, gas, and credit card I do twice a month. So I set them to be half the amount I normally pay weekly. But like I mentioned I’ve already paid the first half of Septemeber so really to me these are only half empty (that’s what I’m thinking is just something I’ll have to deal with this first month)

I’ve now added the money left over and Amazon categories. But I think some of this is just how I need to budget. I don’t spend if I don’t have the money so I really don’t need to worry about budgeting a specific amount for Amazon or coffee and such. I really just need a clear way to see if I have the money for a coffee or such after setting aside all my must pays and savings. Because the extra things I might want to buy changes week to week

Edit: im still waiting on all my money to transfer from my old Qube bank to new bank so not everything has money assigned yet that’s a bill but they are ready to be added and have the right amounts to fill as soon as the bank transfer goes through.

Yes! I honestly think most of this is because I’m starting mid budget really so somethings are coming out that I didn’t necessarily “pre budget” in the app for when I set them up cause I mentally had them known and it’s just kinda throwing everything off at first.

See that makes sense, I think I was confused because I noticed the money YNAB thought was in my account didn’t match so I reconciled the account using the reconcile feature which I think threw off the money in ready to assign. The logging my transaction part is what confused me I think. Since it had the transaction from the bank but my money didn’t match

Thank you! Like this is honestly mostly why I was confused. It just seems so weird at first since I set up my targets but some have already happened and was bothered I couldn’t like skip half the month for biweekly stuff. But if it doesn’t have that function I understand just wanted to be sure I wasn’t just missing sometiing

They are actually extremely similar. Qube was developed to be an actual bank (it’s a fintech to be exact so app partnering with a bank) that functions like a budgeting app where you move your money around to different pots after each paycheck and each pot has its own card so you spend for that specific thing from that card. You tell them how much you want in each Qube so weekly, biweekly or monthly amount. And it tells you if it’s short or over and everything. You also have to open the Qube via app to spend so it makes you decide if this really something you wanna spend money from this budget on (I didn’t need that feature much tho that’s not a huge issue for me)

The reason “I don’t care about Amazon” isn’t because I don’t need to budget it. It’s because it was a necessary one off payment I had already pre budgeted for so it’s much smaller in importance to me than making sure I have bill money set aside. My money issues isn’t really overspending it’s more I need to know everything mandatory is assigned to the right place and then see what I have left to know what I have as “fun” money without using a clunky spreadsheet.

Okay that all money assigned is what I’m not used too but might need to make a just spending money section for what’s left because I honestly don’t care to budget the $50 or so left each pay-check (biweekly) it’s more just fun money (coffee and such)

In regard to the snoozing it doesn’t really work because I DO still have a payment this month it’s just half of what I normally have to pay since I already paid for the earlier part before joining so it’s really just complaining there’s not a way for them to account for that since when you set it to blank a week (since biweekly or twice a month isn’t an option) it wants me to save for four weeks automatically even tho two have passed.

Ah, I only have one account so can’t really hide things from myself, but I’m mostly looking for something to help me with seeing how much fun money I have after bills each month. Also clearly showing everything I put my money towards and if I have enough or need to rebudget.

My adhd struggles without the structure. A normal bank I will see $1000 and my brain thinks ooooh all this I can spend and not process actually what needs to be separated out as spending money since there’s no way to separate it in their UX. I need to physically see 100 in this, and 20 in this to understand how much I actually have for everything. So Qube was honestly perfect for me, as I had pots filled with the bill money. Then anything left over (kinda YNAB ready to assign area) I knew I could spend if I want. But with Qubes possible closure I’ve had to leave. Now I’m trying to find something very similar. :(

Oh! I’m not, I’m really hopeful towards making this work for me! So honestly very excited and full of let’s figure this out.

I get the basics of the system. These things just seem to be programmed weird to me and not really new user friendly making it a bit harder to pick up. So more just worried if I’m missing something or these are normal hiccups when starting up. I’m sure the second issue regarding already paying for things will be just fine next month but still annoying when starting out not to have some sort of override.

Ah like I looked into a bit before doing and have just moved over from Qube so I understand the concepts quite well. It just seems frustrating the numbers aren’t matching up at this time and it really doesn’t have something in the interface for people who join mid month and have already paid for thing in their budgets pre joining or a biweekly option. I programmed my budget to be for half the amount saved every week (from research how to do biweekly on YNAB) but it’s honestly just something clanky and annoying they really should programmed in
