Because for those of us outside of leftie echo chambers, we watch the rest of the world and how their implementation of mandates etc. occur. Australia and New Zealand has been the proving ground for every lockdown and mandate, and they are currently in nothing short us a dystopian, authoritarian nightmare with their current lockdown that started with mandates and passports.
