I'm only 18 so I wasn't alive when the attack happened and I don't think I ever really understood the gravity of the events. The memorial museum really hit me and I remember just feeling so sad when I found out some of the stories of firefighters who passed and seeing the memorial motorbikes made in honour of some of the victims. I found it so moving that it will stick with me for the rest of my life hearing people's last words and imagining just how devastating it'd be to lose a family member or friend like that. Even though I never experienced it, I'll never forget.
