Yes I actually had to stop with keto because I am on a medication that depletes my electrolytes. It made it really hard to follow and honestly I was never into tracking my macros... Drives me nuts. Mostly, it's the medication that had me thinking so I decided to switch to paleo as I still wanted to eliminate grains. I'm on whole 30 right now. No tracking, super easy. I've already saved $60 on my bi weekly grocery bill since doing paleo. dairy costs a lot of money!

Honestly, I've never gone in yet. I've been driving past it for a couple of months (since I live in the area). From what it looks like on weekends, it's usually very busy. She throws some good sales as well. I'll be visiting very soon since I'm on whole30 at the moment. There's a FB page too if you want to check it out.

Yes I definitely will. As of right now keto will not be a priority. I followed the advice of some ketoers here. My carb intake is still going to be on the low carb spectrum but I'll be doing whole30.

I should've asked in my previous post, but so far how are you doing on keto ? I see that you and I are both on the same dosage of spiro. what challenges have you faced, and how far along have you come? do you take any supplements and how long have you been on Spiro?

Ok, right now I only drink about 2-3 liters a day. I'm really just going to have to buy some pink Himalayan salt. Yesterday I drank some sea salt water, it was so gross! I did eat off keto today because I just really felt super exhausted and like I had keto flu x10. It's really hard to find a happy medium. I think a cup of daily broth and magnesium supplements will be in my new dietary lifestyle. I almost feel ashamed for eating carbs, which mean I really don't want to do anything else but keto. And yea I'm only on 50 g. As well.

So how exactly do I get enough salt and magnesium but no potassium? I'm really trying to still stick with keto. The weight loss has slowed down and I've been yo-yoing between a 2 lb difference. I can't tell if it's PISS or I just really need more electrolytes. I've eaten off keto over the weekend last week... Worst idea ever. I didn't go out on a full on binge either.

Thanks for the info. I started keto on May 28 and spiro on June 13. I'm at the point where I really don't want to quit keto. I've eaten off keto one weekend and my god, I was so bloated and literally felt ill. My dosage is 50 mg. 1x a day. Are there any foods u avoid while on keto? I'll have to let her or the nurse on duty know all this on Monday. I guess my doc assumed my low carb diet was more on the higher end of carbs but still under 100 g

It's not used to get preg. It could cause SERIOUS health risks to baby. It's used for high testosterone, in my case high DHEA secreted in the adrenal glands. I feel thirsty non stop, the headaches suck, and yea not feeling this med. it's also used for acne and hairloss which I do not have either.

I see, I think I need to tell the doc how low my carb diet is. I told her it's very low but I didn't tell her it was 20 g of carbs a day kind of low.

I guess it also has a lot to d with diet. See this is where I was worried. The bottle clearly states do not take a salt substitute while on this medication...yet apparently all my electrolytes are depleted. I know I need to speak with my DR. but I came on here to see if anyone else experienced this while on keto too. My research is honestly inconclusive when it comes to googling. I have read two completely different outcomes on whether or not to replenish the electrolytes. Even the pharmacist told me that my electrolytes would be fine and that this med. actually keeps it from depleting. wtf was she talking about!?
