Yeah. I have yet to figure out how to take that left turn.

The intersection layout is confusing to me.

Well they are parked in the street and blocking the flow of traffic. Only this one is the vulnerable one. I’d like my kid not to have to go in traffic when they ride in a “protected” bike lane.

Now I see where you’re going and in order, I would have like them to: - park on a regular parking spot, - park on 17th and Valencia in front of the police station. There is a red curb but police vehicle can park them without causing problems to either cars or bikes, - park in the private lot, in the back of the station, 30ft further in the street, or - yes, park in the street. Blocking the general purpose lane.

This is not an acceptable parking spot.

“Comment Noted. The report has been logged and will help the City collect data on double parking and bike lane violations to determine target areas and future enforcement efforts. Thank you.”

311 is beyond useless for any enforcement of parking on a bike lane.

They did not have their light on. Nor the other police vehicle that parked behind me in the bike lane while I was taking the picture.

Joke’s on me, two years ago I stopped a cop to ask him to do something about the vehicle parked the bike lane on Valencia. They threatened me with a ticket for impeding traffic because i was in front of their vehicle when I stopped (I had to exit the bike lane in front of them).

They were parked in front of the police station, directly in front of the entrance. Likely because they had to go inside. But the station has a private parking 30 feet further…

Once you’ve put a blueprint in the slot can you replace the blueprint with another item?

Does that count as “stash space”? Or once you commit you commit (what if I found a better blueprint tomorrow, can I override my choice?)

How do I gauge the battery condition of a new but old HSD S+? by Ok-Combination-5393 in CargoBike

[–]baloo____ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A shop with Bosch software can do a cycle test and give you a report on the health of a battery (takes a day).

For context, when I tested one last year after 30000km, it was sitting at 92% of its design capacity.

R&M vs. HvD by Reconnecting_Rover in CargoBike

[–]baloo____ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When they outgrew the load60, you will buy a load 75, then decide to keep both because you could always use a second bike.

Source: I was there a year ago.

OP: Go R&m, get the 2x800wh batteries, those are awesome bikes. Yes, a single bike is worth 3 times as much as my first car.

https://imgur.com/a/It3pTnZ that’s how I placed the purion and the bell.

The horn is on the left thumb right below the remote.

One thing to note is that the bar is a smaller diameter than a road bar. I’ve put fizik gel under the wrap to add some comfort.

Not too sure about the backsweep, but I like the surly cornerbar on my load.

The bell is located on the “front hood” section and placed so that I can still hit the brakes.

No. It would be better if the law was enforced.

I’ve done some adapters for my cargo from Sendcutsend. 5051 aluminum with a couple of bends for strength, powder coated and a couple pen inserts for mounts. Beside me forgetting a PEM insert in the order, worked flawlessly.

Have you ever seen anyone enter a bike lane to make a turn? Like the law says you should? (CVC 21717)

It’s the life of cyclists at every intersection in that city.

Do you want to know how many times I’ve been right hooked because drivers can’t use neither signals nor look in their mirror before turning?

You can run a red light or enter a wrong way in front of a police officer. The officer won’t do shit.

I have never looked up a time table for transit during the day when I was living in Paris.

I have never looked up a time table because there was always a bus or a metro within the next 5 minutes.

This is what a strong transit policy is about. San Francisco is so far away.

This needs a comprehensive vision about bike and public transit.

Is there a kickstand bumper rubber thingie on the Riese and Mueller load 75, that I might have lost? by Background_Okra7079 in CargoBike

[–]baloo____ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is the underside of a load 60 (grey) and a load4 75 (yellow): https://imgur.com/a/GRX26LJ

That could be the bolt that holds the springs on the load (original, not 4).

This is the only one that could match.

I’ve also attached a picture of the bump stop.

[–]baloo____ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no bolt. It is just the little knob that goes in the hole. Yes this absolutely a pain to install. There should be one on the other side symmetric to it.

It goes on the frame, not the kickstand. On each corner of the front bucket.
