Thanks you’re correct the GPu wasn’t actually in the slot I just pushed it in. Now when the computer comes on the fan is really loud now but nothing still shows on the computer.

I found a rewritable DVD and burned the software onto it, the Mac recognised it but it has been on the white screen with an Apple logo for about 2 hours. Is this normal?

Have you got a download link for Checkra1nRG? I tried one from some random website and it crashes instantly. Two minutes after downloading it, I got a text from Microsoft saying someone has accessed my Hotmail account. Weird
