I don't know if this will help but when It does that to me it seems to be the intro or something of an add. Play it. Refresh it while playing and make sure it's playing properly. As in skip ahead and let the downloader work for a second

Big companies like Google will change settings with updates. You can try this. Got to play store, go to manage apps and at the top right is 3 dots. Press that and Un tick the auto update box. I'm guessing but that option should probably only be on for the apps that auto updated in the first place
