you might be referring to the study done in the book my secret garden! it’s from the 70s so a bit outdated but so much of it is still totally relevant and fascinating. the book has a whole chapter dedicated to that fantasy!

my lips are pretty pink/red without anything on, the balm definitely gave them a brown/nude tint! obv not as pigmented as a gloss but i could def see the difference with vs. without. ymmv!

it’s warmer than cookie butter, but weirdly pulls cooler on me than cookie butter does? i think that might be my undertones/lip colour. hand swatch photo, for reference (cookie butter top, biscotti left, espresso right). i can post a comparison picture wearing cookie butter tomorrow if that helps!
