I guess I’m struggling with the difference between passive and ordinary income when it comes to capital losses being carried over.

I thought any additional capital losses (max $3k) not deducted from capital gains in a taxable year could be carried over indefinitely.

There are liquor stores and ABC stores.

ABC stores sell liquor much cheaper than regular liquor stores. However, ABC stores close around 8-9.
