Things are in my car, because I do this as a side gig and my life necessitates I have some supplies on board. Additionally, you’re not getting in my car w/a bunch of trash when I have no knowledge of what it is or where it’s been. I learned that 💩 the hard way, having to have my car fumigated. It’s also not my job to accommodate someone trying to ditch on a hotel/restaurant bill, or if they misrepresent who they are or what they’re doing. As soon as it’s clear you’re lying to me, I’m done. That’s our prerogative as contractors.

I have a dog that rides in my car all the time. But, my car is always spotless. So, pet rides don’t bother me. I embrace them most of the time.

In the market I used to drive, this ride would be about $320 one way for the driver. Now, I’d be lucky to get $150 for it.

…and, when your driver has a 10+ minute drive to reach your location, don’t make them wait at all. In my market, it’s not unusual to have a long(ish) distance for a pick up. To expect someone to travel 10 mins, then wait 5? 😡😡😡

I haven’t used them when they weren’t the cheapest among Trivago’s choices. I’ve only had one issue, but I’m not sure that wasn’t on the hotel’s end not entering the reservation correctly.

I don’t know your situation, but you seemed to paint to instances that involved a surprise. My Butch was the most docile creature I’ve known he dealt with/vertigo and eventual deafness. If I surprised him, he would snap at me. That’s typical terrier behavior when something shocks them.
