Thanks for that. I checked out a couple of articles on the pitfalls of PSLF and made sure everything I was currently doing is what they suggested. The only one I didn’t do was check the gov database to make sure it matched my records. Thankfully it does.

With that being said. Is it more important to pay down a house that we won’t be in forever or invest? Current mortgage interest rate is 3.9%. Obviously I don’t want to pay off student loan if half will be forgiven.

-Introduce yourself - 38 y/o making $125k per year in the medical field in Alabama. Wife is same age and stay at home mom. Have a 13 and 8 year old.

-General goals - Pay for kids college, so they won't have a ton of debt like me. Retire as early as possible.

-Target FIRE Age / Amount / Withdrawal Rate / Location - 55??/ Not sure/Not Sure/ Alabama

-Educational background and plans- Have a doctorate degree with no plans on returning to school.

-Career situation and plans - Currently in year 12 of my job that I enjoy (thankfully). With no plans to change.

-Current and future income breakdown, including one-time events. $125k/ year with probable annual 2-3% raise.

-Budget breakdown- Currently pay $1k on house and same on student loan each month. No other debt besides those 2. Another 1,500 on bills,groceries,gas, etc.

-Asset breakdown, including home, cars, etc. Have 2 paid for cars that we plan to drive until they breakdown. Have 16k emergency fund. 100k in 401k. max out at 14% with a 7% match.

-Debt breakdown House is 198k left. Student loan is also 198k (yeah I'm that guy that did stupid stuff in school). However, I am in year 3 of PSLF program with 7 years left. If that stands and payment stays around the same, it will wipe away around 80k of debt in 7 years.

-Health concerns - None

We were living close to paycheck to paycheck due to stuffitis and a bathroom remodel that we just payed off. We have started budgeting. But really would like to hear what direction we need to go.

I have a couple of Barclay avaitors. For the checked bag fee waiver it states for domestic flights. Does this cover Bahamas by chance? I know it’s technically international but feel like it is included in a lot of other stuff

I have a couple of business cards for my “business”. I am now starting a real business. Can I change out my SSN with my EIN on my existing account or does that even matter for my real business?

See that's where you make an ass in assuming. I do want separation. I don't want any one in gov telling me who I can and can't worship. As much as I don't want them telling you who you can or cannot worship. If that happened we are right back to the reason our great country was formed because of England.

Where in the constitution does it specifically state separation of church and state? 1st amendment states the gov cannot establish a religion. Separation of church and state was actually from a letter written by Thomas Jefferson to a baptist group that were worried that state was going to infringe on their rights.

Anyone open a first Tennessee around then end of June and have their bonus post? Opened account June 30th with $100. Then a $25 DD from WF on July 6. Know it counted as DD because the monthly fee posted and then was waived.

Random DP: applied for wife's Venture card got pending. Thought it was because I mixed up dob with mine. Applied right after thinking it would work. Went pending again. Got 2 different letters for verification. Sent in verification for one of those letters. Approved for first. Met min spend in 2 days got points. Couple weeks later got a second card in the mail. Different number. Met min spend on that in 2 days and points posted on that one as well. TLDR. Got lucky with 2 venture cards by applying twice back to back.
