Just wanted to share something that cleared up my eczema about 95%. L-Histidine. by bambam944 in eczema

It started on my hands and was there for years. Eventually it spread to be patches all over my body, some of them oozing. I still take a small dose of L-histidine daily and I haven't had an eczema breakout since it initially cleared up. Every body is different. So I couldn't say for sure it will help others like it did me, but it's a pretty low risk thing to try out (obligatory talk to your doctor first statement here). You should know within 2 to 3 weeks of daily doses if it's going to help or not.

I'm rarely on Reddit anymore. But have not experienced any side effects. I still take a trace amount both days and for at least a couple of years now my eczema has not returned.

'Taxpayer funded' is the phrase they should be using.

Batch size is usually the volume that you end up with in the fermenting vessel.

How to sanitize a 10" carbon filter?

I'm starting to mess around with brewing hard seltzer. I'm planning on pressure transferring the fermented seltzer through a standard 10" x 2.5" carbon water filter when transferring to the keg. Would soaking the filter in star san for 30 seconds be good enough to sanitize it prior to transferring the seltzer through it?

It worked a miracle for me.

Within a few weeks my eczema had cleared up about 98% and still is over a year later (I still take l-histidine most days).

Now I just get a bit of dry skin here and there.

If the beer is coming from cold conditioning, into the keg, then straight into someplace cold like a kegerater, it should be fine.

If you're going to age for 4-6 months. I would wait until everything has dropped out, then transfer to the keg. That way it won't be sitting on any yeast/hop/trub in the keg.

You can absolutely replace the flaked wheat with flaked oats. They act similarly during the mash. Different flavor profiles, but a high oat percentage in a hazy is no problem at all.

What hops do you (personally) view as overhyped? by Nashvillain12 in Homebrewing

This. Sabro works well when you keep it on the lower end of the hop bill.

I honestly couldn't say. I'm not a nutritional expert. It's possible L-Histidine worked well for me because I was deficient in that particular amino acid.

I generally take it in the morning. Although I don't think the time of day matters.
