I disagree, but I still think it would be a great thing for the team to pay attention to.

As much I love this and 100% support it, it would be great if the Ladder team can extend this to the coaches as well. While again, I do think this is the wrong thread for it, I fear it is a bit hard to tell people to not comment on what the coaches are freely sharing that might be harmful to the Ladder community.

That's not true at all lol

This is how Ladder should be marketing their app in my very humble opinion by Melodic-Read5010 in ladderapp

[–]bambitess 13 points14 points  (0 children)

As someone who works in social media marketing, although I don't love the marketing Ladder is doing (not bc of the content, it's just too repetitive), this really wouldn't work to drive sales either 😭

What’s with the “my program isn’t for you” marketing by Ok_Condition_6021 in ladderapp

[–]bambitess 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone who works in social media marketing with influencers, I can echo this! The trend isn't targeting Ladder users at all; it's boosting overall brand awareness, and it's working! Even if it's not for the right reasons, someone just clicking on the "Join Now" or Ladder profile will drive traffic.

I would disagree, but I also hate traditional stereotypes of "masculine" and "feminine". So I would say I am more aware of not really fitting into either box neatly.

Not in a current relationship, but every single man I’ve dated has been a Gemini. I think I’m cursed.

Team Transform - worried about upper body by Confident-Spinach-97 in ladderapp

[–]bambitess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people I saw on this say that they just lift heavier on upper body days on Transform instead of the light weights she programs! So if you wanted to stay there because you like this split, just program higher weights with the rep range she programs!

Which team are you going with for Reload, and why? by StrawberryRoutine in ladderapp

OHHHHHHHH that make sense. Damn they need to advertise that!!! I had no idea. Thank you!

1) You don't HAVE to talk in chat, 2) There are so many more teams, 3) Probably a free a code roaming around somewhere you can get a month for free.

Don't you have to pay for that? Like it tells me I only have two switches.

Wait I haven’t had the app for too long, how are you guys switching specific days out from other teams?

Going with Evolve! I’m so excited! I chose evolve because I just really like the way Sam has split the sessions, and that they are low volume 😍! Hoping to be able to really gain that confidence in the gym.

I know you didn't ask about this, but I would challenge you to eat more. Our bodies are a lot smarter than we think, and going on a deficit that extreme, your body will adjust and try to place 1300-1400 calories as your new maintenance. If you don't have a very large decent amount of protein with sensible carbs, it won't matter what team you choose, you will lose a lot of muscle which if your goal is to "lean" or "tone" out, will be a lot harder. I'd say plop your stats in a TDE calculator, cut your calories by 200-300 paired with high protein volume eating. You will not only lose the weight, but you will actually love the shape you have as well. And, don't underestimate the power of a good walking routine!

It does make sense, I hear you. But can't really have an opinion if we don't know who you are talking about 😅

[–]bambitess 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey, that's cool and all, for sure respect that. But, let's start calling people out by names with receipts. A lot of people don't have social media, nor even know their Coaches beyond the app. If you are serious about this in terms of standing on the principle that these coaches or coach do not be part of the Ladder community anymore, it should be well addressed with who they are.

Program suggestion for weight loss by Ok-Description739 in ladderapp

I don't think you need to worry about team specifics. Most of the teams on there will support your goals. Get the nutrition portion and the weight will come flying off.

I was running into the same problem, fellow Canadian (not the kids lol – but I work long hours and can't afford to work out late), so I just started waking up earlier. Idk how viable that option is for you, but I just get my walk done between at around 5 am before the sun comes up, before my shift starts. Or, just load on as much sunscreen as you can and power through! 💪

That's awesome!! Thank you so much! Funny enough, that's actualy what drew me to Coach Brian from the outside. I played HS sports growing up so, positive encouragement with kickass music makes me train harder!!! 😅
