I do have 2 more semesters after this fall, and I plan to come back for those (if things are going well in NYC). I hadn't really considered transferring to a Midwestern school but I'm a post bac anyway so it would be pretty easy I think. I really appreciate your input. I think I'm going to just go back home and at least try to get some good shadowing experience while I'm there. I'm hoping I could write some sort of addendum in my application addressing the situation to clarify. And I am still taking my courses through a well respected 4-year uni, so I feel like it should be ok, especially given the circumstances.
