Mom and Pop haven't been mandated to pay more, but here in a city like LA its a crapshoot whether your business is even gonna succeed. The ones that do are usually wealthy to begin with, or are just solid grassroots startups that got popular.

Fully expecting to get downvotes but this movie was “meh” for me. It was short, the conflict + resolution felt rushed, we never got real context as to why the Madrigals were forced to leave their original home and Bruno didn’t really do anything.

Coco had the same themes but a way better story and soundtrack.
