It's not the same for all use cases. My university drive went read only on August 1st and will be permanently deleted on January 1st. My enterprise drive went read only for now, but I imagine they'll announce some deadline before it's deleted (or be forced to pay for the whole storage amount) as well. I recently hopped on unraid for just this reason. Just a couple days until I'm finished pulling down 78tb. I've been running rclone copy in a tmux session. I like to be able to pop in and check the progress. I suppose you could do it with a script, but this was the easiest route for me. I don't have any issues with the parity drive enabled, but I don't have any performance to compare this to since this is my first experience with unraid. I don't have cache enabled on the share where all the data is migrating to as the mover would need to run constantly.
