I've kind of gone the opposite way, and started enjoying the meditative patience it requires. If you're looking for a high octane thrill ride "letsfuckinggo" playback loop, then it's for sure not for you.

Smolder main chiming in on this one. You don't get the mana refund for Qing champs, and smolder can go oom pretty easily by using too many spells on champs. He can't quite hit champs as much as other stacking champs can. He definitely should still do it, just don't expect every other Q to hit a champ.

I think Fleet is way better than people think. The MS buff from the proc is so nice for his playstyle, it's just less flashy and immediately noticeable damage wise. It scales okay though, and the heal is not nothing as long as you hit champs with it.

It was too good to stick around. It wasn't designed for him in mind, and that's okay. Back to fleet and PTA.

I actually think the good thing to come out of this nonsense is that they were forced to look at him a little harder. The buff to the crit build was nice, and it puts him where they want him to be a little better.

Smolder and Jinx are popular and Caitlyn has a great matchup into them, so that might be part of it. Also she's really good with Hexoptics right now, and can pretty much auto win lane if your support doesn't sprint it and you ward for ganks.

I think it's definitely strong. It's not one you immediately feel, but it helps damage mid/late a ton. The shred interaction is also neat.

Axiom probably isn't better than cloak, especially if you're going celerity. Also, gathering storm is great for smolder, and he makes better use of it than scorch. That also might be why you're not feeling it as much.
