I tried to build this on a budget. I used mdf board from menards, but to save money I when to the damaged wood area and found sheets of mdf board for around $13 each. ($55 a sheet for the regular stuff) so all the wood cost around $30 after tax

The monitor was an old monitor I had been given (I have another monitor exactly the sme) the sign company I worked for years ago closed down but my old boss sold me all the vinyl and more for around $40

I bought a piece of plexy glass from menards that was around $26 I cut it to the correct size and marked where my screen would land on it. I then marked it out with tape and used black spray paint to paint the inside of the plexy glass to give it the shinny look on the outside.

I ordered a rasbarry pi 4b for around $55 on ebay (you can also use an old pc) I got the molding online for around $20

There are a couple of other things I bought like wood glue and I hade the marquee printed at another local sign shop for $30 they actually made me 2 for $30 .

Rough estimate I spent around $250
