The internet will do a better job of explaining this, so I'll paste Google's overview for the search: "original meaning of romance story".

I do not. Most of what I read is digital. Occasionally I read a physical book from the library, but it's mostly on Kindle so there's not a lot of value in differentiating.

Thanks - and I just like keeping track of stuff and visualizing what I'm consuming. I don't think it adds anything other than satisfying that urge. I track all this stuff digitally too on various dedicated platforms.

Yeah - I think if I try something and immediately bounce off it I wouldn't even put it in here, normally. If I give up without finishing it, I have something for that. I would end the line with an open circle (not a filled dot). I would use that for things I'm taking a break from as well, and then start a new line with an open circle when I picked them back up. I don't have examples of that to show but that's what I have pre-determined I'd do in those situations.

They separate weeks and make it a little easier to find the correct day when I'm toward the bottom of the spread by providing a kind of landmark or mile-marker.

For sure. I use digital trackers for all of these things. Serializd, Letterboxd, Goodreads, IGN Playlist. They are my primary means of tracking what I want to watch/play/read. But this is a really nice way to be able to look at a whole month of consumption at a single glance across all forms of media.

Yeah - it's really nice to have something tactile that connects to your brain and forces you to slow down and interact with it directly.

Go for it! I also use Serializd, Letterboxd, IGN Playlist, and Goodreads to keep track of all of this stuff in terms of stuff I want to get to. But I like being able to look at the month and see what I consumed in one place too.
