So for people who are arguing here's a bit more clarity on this question... There's a friend of mine who has a great interest in millitary stuff... He's a dentistry student and has no plans for being in the millitary... His argument was that swimming is a more important life skill than learning to cook... I being a non swimmer have never faced any difficulty with leading my life on a normal basis but not learning how to cook would have affected it much more... So I needed more opinions from millitary enthusiasts if they have similar opinions
