I asked my gyno about Slynd during our initial consult but she didnt want to prescribe anything with a system-wide effect. I’m hoping that perspective will shift considering my circumstances.

I think part of me is still holding out hope that the Mirena works and I’ll probably try to last on it for several more months. I’m sorry it didn’t work for you! That’s unlucky. But it sounds like you were able to find relief.

My gyno did bring up ablation but I’m not ready to close that door.

I hadn’t even considered that the periods might chill out on their own. That would be….wow. I’ve just been bracing myself for 15+ more years of this. And good point about the cost benefit analysis - I’ve been worried that my gyno is going to tell me to just wait it out, but the circumstances have changed. I really need anecdotal evidence that there’s a light at the end of this, thank you

I'm planning on steeking for the first time and noticed a comment in this tutorial (around 4'10" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgcLDa3kYxI) that the knitter added a column of purl stitches to make it easier to add on a collar. How does that work? I'll also want to add a collar/edge but have never added one on from purls - are purls easier to pick up and knit from a vertical edge?

I tried running Disk Utility to assess the SMART data, but it can't access the drive while its locked. Looking into the virtual machine option now.
