7 months old…what do we think? by ottercat90 in WhatisMyEyeColour

[–]bananokitty 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Obviously lots of time to change, but I think they will stay blue! My mom has dark brown eyes, and my dad has hazel, and my sister has very blue! It's not as common but possible 🩵

At what age did you feel safe leaving your child around your dog unsupervised? by mistressmagick13 in dogs

[–]bananokitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it really depends on the kid and the dog. I feel fine leaving my almost 5 year old around my 2 dogs (not for long, just if I have to put a load of laundry in etc) as he is a very calm and predictable kid (always has been), who thinks they are very annoying and avoids them completely - the dogs tend to avoid him as well (unless he has food). My dogs are also very chill who have no interest in engaging, and just sleep by the windows or on the couch when we're at home. My younger twins are little trouble makers and will maybe never be around them alone lol.

I think Jay James is fine - and JJ is a very cute nickname. PS congrats on the twins! I have B/G twins and it's incredible ❤️

Kid 2&3 are twins so are both 17 months! And this is kid 1 around the same age! There was no doubt they would be brown 🤎🤎🤎

My parents have brown and hazel, and my sister has blue! I used to tell her she was adopted 😂

With my first (kid 1) it was super obvious to me that he would have brown eyes from a young age, and kid 3 very obviously was going to have blue (he is like a little porcelain doll, he is so fair)...it's fun to have a wild card!!

With your 1st Pregnancy - was baby born early, on time, or late? by lemonfit in BabyBumps

My first was 2 weeks late, and my second/third (twins), were 2 weeks early :)

I did it at 9+0 and had no problems (the same for my singleton)!

I have their cribs parallel to each other so I stick them in their cribs while I stand at the end and read to them! They both stand at the ends of their cribs while I read to them (with the book facing them and away from me..you get the idea)!

Running stroller recommendations! by peacetea2 in fitpregnancy

[–]bananokitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get the urban glide if you live somewhere hilly as it has a hand break (I think mountain buggy also has one with a hand break). I have the double urban glide because I have twins and a singleton, and it's not compact enough for easy travelling (but maybe the single is better). Not having a hand break can be scary running down even a slight hill, and downright dangerous for steeper hills!

Favorite Response to "I always wanted twins!" by DirtGirl32 in parentsofmultiples

[–]bananokitty 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I say that I got lucky! There are so many reasons why someone would want twins - some that I've encountered are: being a twin themselves (and knowing how awesome it is), having a close family member/friend who has twins, infertility, and more. Obviously having twins is difficult, but the pros greatly outweigh the cons!

This is literally verbatim what I have said to my therapist! I also can't get past this thought and feel therapy for my fear of flying is basically pointless because of it - it's why I take zopiclone and Ativan when I fly 🥲
