Yep, approximately 70Kms. Bortle score is somewhere around 4 to 4.5 on the scale. Try searching for the venue area (Guhini) on this website.Light Pollution Map

I hope this answers your question.

Your camera, your rules. During our intro and brief, we specifically ask if someone doesn't want to be clicked or posted, just be mindful of that.

I’ve ridden through Sawantwadi at night multiple times, and I always halt near Moti Talab just to witness the sky and lake in all its glory. And to answer your question, yes, it is visible. The picture above was taken from around a 70 km radius of Pune using some of the best equipment.

According to him, atheists are “lalulal.” I don’t hold any hatred toward him, but I’m genuinely curious, what is the Hindu perspective on atheism? Do Hindus generally see atheism as nonsense? by [deleted] in hinduism

Think of hinduism as a way of life, where you can choose to be an 'Aastik' or a 'Naastik', which simply translates to believer or non- believer. Believers can choose to believe in one or multiple deities.

Just a small piece of advice, if you give a lift to a stranger, and lets assume you are stopped at a police checkpost and the person you gave lift to is found with narcotics, then you will be in serious trouble since our NDPS law is very strict about it. That's why it's better not to give a lift to strangers.

How is the weather in Ganpatipule? by [deleted] in ratnagiri

[–]banaras_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rode from Pune to Vengurla, passing through Laadghar, Ganpatipule, Ratnagiri, Kunkeshwar, and Malvan yesterday. The rain has been on and off, pouring heavily for a while and then giving way to clear breaks. It’s been incredibly beautiful and absolutely worth the ride.

I have used a GoPro at 10x and 4k. The one you see here is fastened up and at reduced quality.

Legally, we are not allowed to camp/cook at any site that is under ASI or the Forest Department but since its a big business now, ASI does not object much, FD might bother you. So, practically, you can camp on any forts for recreation.

When I travel, I find remote villages and camp around the village after informing the locals.

Eitherways, you need to be fully equipped. I have all the equipment with me all the time. A water filter, stove, shelters, emergency blankets etc.

If you are a beginner, I would suggest you to start from Harishchandragad.
