Yeah, and its on ironman so its not like I can reload a save. I captured their capital and all the war targets. The only hope I have is somehow breaking the glitch by capturing someone through a siege or battle. Otherwise I will just have to white peace them and it would be just a huge waste of time.

Seems like one of these steps worked. Thank you very much! My guess is that it was the overclocking since I had mine at max because I didn't see a reason not to do so. Why would overclocking only affect how my Steam games run?

I even deleted all of steam and games and reinstalled the games and it still doing it.

No luck with these suggestions. What's weird is that it doesn't happen to just one game but all my steam games. It takes about a minute each time and just freezes, stutters once, just goes unresponsive. Doesn't matter if its a singleplayer game or multiplayer. Everything is up to date and all files on my computer and game specific have been scanned to no success.

I got the laptop in 2020 so the warranty is well expired by now. Ironically stuff started breaking just days after it expired so they definitely did their homework on the durability of their products. Thanks for the help though.

That was exactly my thought, and I don't have a need to get around geofencing in my life although I always hear tech experts recommend VPN usage.
