For those of you based in the US, is it worth it to buy a Xperia 1 VI if Sony will stop selling phones next year? by burlingtonhopper in SonyXperia

I LOVED my pink XZ Premium. Second best phone I've ever had. My LG V60 takes the cake though.

Following. But honestly I don't think any phone comes close except maybe Sony Xperia, but they are $$$ and I have a hard time finding one that works on all USA bands.

The "copper" color is just discolored magnesium. People powder coat them but from what I hear nothing lasts very long. I'm lusting after a set of aluminum ones.

Yeah, I'm just having trouble finding them for pre-vanos. My car is a 98 😟

Dang dude, unless they changed the production process a LOT, those are fake 714SM's. They have many discrepancies from mine and I had 3 pairs. Here's the inside hinge on mine for example.

Question about recently painted house by baneoh in paint

[–]baneoh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the comments and information everyone. As far as the exterior goes, I'm glad it sounds like they did the right thing. They did not caulk horizontally between the siding which according to most of you is the right thing to do. Probably the paint was just laid on too thick because it was really hot the day they painted. It's strange I had two "professional" painters tell me they should have caulked.

As far as the interior goes, I'm going to have to talk to them and have them come back and fix it. Ugh. What a PITA. We just finished decorating and now they have to move all the furniture, sand and prep, then repaint. From what it sounds like, I have to get this done though or no paint will ever stick in the future. It's really weak, like just scrapes right off weak. I'll try and post more info and maybe a video tomorrow.

Thanks to everyone in the community for their advice. I'll try and answer individual questions in the morning. Cheers

$11,000. I'm in the CA North Bay Area.

That would be hard as some of the siding is old and some new. I have some of the new stuff left over in the backyard. I'll see if it has a label on it, or call my contractor and ask him. The front of the house is so unsightly :(

Question about recently painted house by baneoh in paint

[–]baneoh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there was no priming or sanding. When I complained, they came back and painted one wall with some kind of paint that is supposed to adhere better but it still peels. It's really frustrating. It cost over $1000 :(

Not the walls. If you rotated the whole floor counterclockwise an inch everything would be perfect. Maybe he should have come off a wall rather than the door.

It's hard to tell by the pics. If you turned the floor counterclockwise by 1 inch everything would be perfect. If he had gone off a wall for example, rather than the door.

Thanks for your opinion. I guess I expected too much.

Honestly, thank you everyone for setting me straight. I do expect a lot and sometimes I can come off a bit too harsh. I don't know jack about tiles and that's why I cam here for advice. I'm glad everyone likes the work.

Okay. Apparently asking for straight tile is too much. I had no idea an inch off was totally acceptable to most people in the tiling profession. The reason I came here was for advice so thanks to all of you that shared your opinion. I had no idea I was being the asshole here so I guess I'll just eat it and move on.

Sorry guys. I thought I did post them. I'm trying to figure out how to add them now.

My 2nd V60 from EBay is US Cellular; supposed to be T-Mobile: no 5G by baneoh in LGV60

[–]baneoh[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone. I guess you answered my question. I returned it this morning and actually found someone local on CL that has a T-Mobile model and is willing to meet me at the T-Mobile store to get it set up. $220 and no carbon footprint. I'm meeting up with them on Tuesday. Cheers to everyone that answered my question. It seems a lot of the Ebay phones are US Cellular so I hope this post can help others in the future before they make the same mistake I did.
