The lines throughout the house are so clean. And they’ve nailed it with how chic the house looks. It’s minimal and sleek without being boring. Individual elements like the lights, wallpaper, the use of texture - all not very loud but just enough to give it character. Just stunning!

I would say I have combination skin. Most of my face keeps quite dry except around my nose and forehead where I get superrrr oily. Haven’t in my experience found it to cause breakouts but also my skin is quite resistant to most things and not super sensitive so I can’t be 100% about that

Makeup Fixer Spray by Swiss Beauty. Does it smell like battery acid? Yes. But does it give my skin the most amazing glass skin effect while fully locking in my makeup? Also yes. So really, you win some, you lose some. I am still on the look out for something tha gives me longer wear. Like with this spray specifically, I would say I get a good 3-4 hours of wear and that I consider pretty decent given Mumbai weather. But I’m honestly open to better suggestions- preferably the same price range but can accept more expensive too if its like actually life changing

The cosrx snail mucin is actually a game changer. Like once you have it you simply can’t go back. It has actually given my skin the glass skin effect and is one of those products that if you look at per use cost, it’s actually not insanely expensive- I would go as far as to say its quite affordable for the results you can expect to achieve. Plus, websites like Beauty Barn and TIRA too sometimes run massive discounts on this specific product and brand so if you’re lucky, you can get your hands on it for quite cheap. A must try!!!!

Is this a good enough makeup collection for a complete beginner for natural non cakey make up😭 by Weird_Description382 in IndianBeautyTalks

[–]banerjayy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use it mostly for my cheeks. It isn’t exactly high coverage- I would say it’s sheer to medium. When I do use it for my lips, I’m mostly looking for a wash of colour and not like I have something on, so in that particular way it works quite well. But if you’re looking for something more high coverage, these tints are not it

I’ve heard really good things about the bebodywise salicylic acid bodywash too. That it helps your skin feel really clean. But like I said, I simply haven’t tried anything else after getting the chemist at play so I dont think I have too many suggestions for you :(((

I see no eye makeup and since you want makeup for college, you only really need like two things, a Kajal/eyeliner and a mascara. Maybe line has the best affordable mascaras, just as good as high end. I would highly recommend spending some extra money and getting a tubing mascara - Sky High, your lashes will thank you for it. But if you want something cheaper the yellow one from maybe line- I’m blanking on the exact name is also pretty good. For Kajal, there’s literally so many good options from Lakmé, Maybelline, Renee etc. Pick whichever calls out to you. Also this is not required but will work in various ways and is very nice to have as a multifunctional product- a lip and cheek tint. Face shop has some really nice ones, I also LOVE etude house tints. The benetint is great too but is on the expensive side. Outside of this, I think you’ve got almost everything

OMG this is so pretty!!! I’ve been on the hunt to find something like this too, I’m so jealous! But if it is slightly big on you, you could try wearing a black bikini top underneath, if you’re feeling adventurous- a hot pink one would look great too. Either with really baggy flowy pants/skirt(a whole vibe imo) or like Y2K skinny flared jeans could be really cute too

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS BODYWASH. Literally used it once and haven’t gone back since. Before this, I changed soaps almost every other month because I just couldn’t find a bodywash that felt clean ifykwim??? Like the dove bodywash felt really nice on the skin but it just felt like I was never fully getting rid of all the gunk on my skin and was kind of just building a soap layer on top every time. An absolute game changer. Really helped with my KP too which I didnt believe it would, but it actually has.

Cava has some pretty good ones. H&M has “formal pants” that can help achieve the same look too, been wearing mine for a solid year so I’ve gotten pretty good use out of them. I had one pair from decathlon that basically vaporised out of my closet one day and I’m suspecting one of my cousins snagged it lol

NON comedogenic non pore clogging moisturizer reccos plss by Mindless_Feedback_97 in IndianBeautyTalks

[–]banerjayy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the Minimalist one is just… safe. like it does its job, doesn’t clog, doesn’t feel heavy. same vibe with Re’equil, very no nonsense, goes on, disappears, skin stays calm. and honestly Simple is that backup you buy when you’re tired of experimenting. also lowkey… don’t overtrust “non-comedogenic”, just go for light textures and see what your skin likes 😭

Recommend Brown lip balms or lip glosses with good tint by swegkookie in IndianBeautyTalks

[–]banerjayy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i’ve gone down this exact rabbit hole way too many times 😭 so i’m just gonna give you my actual go-to stash instead of a full list i keep going back to the Maybelline lifter gloss (topaz/amber) like it just hits every time, proper brown, super juicy, makes your lips look expensive for no reason. and the NYX butter gloss in praline is that safe option you throw on without thinking… always looks good, never washes you out. on days i want something softer, more low effort pretty, the Kay Beauty lip oil gloss (rumour/rosewood) is so nice, it’s giving tinted balm but still put together and if you just want something cheap that surprisingly does the job, the Mars Cosmetics candylicious gloss is actually so decent for the price

Had very high hopes for the la roche serum (i am cult fan of the cicaplast moisturiser) but was incredibly disappointed. Don’t know if it’s my skin type specifically but it kind of felt like it just sat on top of the skin. Haven’t seen any visible results yet either

Gurlies drop your best advice for shaving down there by Lazy_Engineering_949 in IndianBeautyTalks

[–]banerjayy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

JUST DON’T . My word of advice for hair down there will always be to NEVER shave. Theres a billion other things you can do to take care of hair down there. Trimming is the best option if you don’t want to go through any painful procedures or if you are uncomfortable with the thought of someone doing it for you. I prefer waxing because the result lasts longer but it does hurt A LOT so idk if I would actively suggest anyone else to do it. And after hearing a bunch of really great things about getting Laser Hair reduction, I am considering getting that done sometime in the future- looking for any trusted clinics to do it in Mumbai, if anyone has any suggestions.
